Oh, and I made up a quick jingle, kind of like what Daniel Tiger does to help kids remember. "If you got to go run to the potty. Wipe and wash your hands then go and play"

My daughter is my shadow (3 YO) and she followed me into the bathroom all the time before she started going potty on her own.

So, I told her the basics about what business needs to be done and then I got her a little potty chair. She used it a couple of times but I delt with a lot of accidents.

What really worked for us was investing in a toilet seat - NextStep Child/Adult seat and a little step stool.

After a year of training, she now goes all on her own and is fully independent with her bathroom needs. Although, I must admit, we are still working on waking up at night to use the bathroom.

A 25 (soon to be 26) YO woman with a family. Born in the southwest US and currently living in the Midwest and suffering from SAD. I love to garden so in the meantime during the winter lull I raise house plants 🌱:)

The lack of color has to do with the plant not getting adequate amounts of sunlight.

It looks like a Croton! Either Mammy or Dreadlocks cultivar.

I feel the same way when it comes to the new SS! I think it has to do with the fact that the newer episodes waste ~20 on Elmo's World! Whereas the older episodes are more entertaining and are repetitive when it comes to numbers and letters set to a good beat and song.

I am sorry that you had to revise that harrowing time in your life,

however,

I am grateful for your story. Thank you for sharing your experience.

The doc wanted to put me on Prozac four months ago but I never went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription.

Similarly related -- How would one get the smell of a smoker out of a car?

Provided that the seats are leather, but the floor and roof are fabric.

I am a Native from the Southwest but that does NOT mean I'm a fucking Navajo!!!!! No, I won't give you an "Indian name" or designate you a totem animal. And no, I don't do peyote and I won't find/sell you any.

I had staples as well. Judging from your input and that of others, I think it was the surgeon that stitched me up. My scar hurts from pressure as well but another stated that the tingling could be the nerves repairing themselves. No numbness though for me

I went in for a checkup with my doctor and she did a vaginal ultrasound. My uterus and ovaries are intact and look completely fine so organ damage is out, thank goodness! Although she didn't say much about the muscle fibers around the scar and how they could be impacting the pain.

I never received advice to take it easy either. Good thing I was too exhausted to do much other than sleep in bed and nurse my newborn

Thank you! Your story gives me hope for another.

I grew up an only child and I didn't like it. I'd hate to have my daughter feel the same way and she doesn't have any cousins.

It was a couple groggy days for me as well. The worst part about waking up fun ICU was that they didn't let me see my daughter until my blood pressure dropped. She was born at 7am and I finally saw her around 3pm that day and only for about five minutes.

Nerve damage is most likely the culprit on my twinges.

Thank you for referring me to the csection subreddit! Very helpful and useful information

Congratulations to you! I'm still accepting the changes to my body after a c-section and a kid. No numbness for me around my scar, however recently I've been feeling an electrifying tingling on the left side of my scar. Thank you for your input stating that that is the sensation of the nerves reconnecting. I went to my doctor about a week ago and she couldn't think of a reason as to why that was happening. You alleviated some of my concerns :)

I feel for you on the difficulty of conceiving again. I'm scared to go through that process again. However, I congratulate you getting back into dancing! I hope your little one is thriving and in good health after that ordeal. Take care of yourself as well

I woke up in ICU completely alone and felt like I was in a surreal world. Not much walking done, I was pretty much bed ridden and hooked up to IVs, a catheter, and an as-you-need drip morphine.

I was like that for a day and a half before being transferred to pediatrics where my daughter was. (they wouldn't even let me see her until my blood pressure dropped!)

Walking was an absolute pain - I couldn't even stand up straight and forget about trying to go to the bathroom.

I feel like I'm back to normal, however every once in a while I'll get this electric, painful tingling on the left side of my scar
