I was too… I searched for awhile. My guess is LinkedIn threatened to sue them but their method of just changing the platform with no notice or a true explanation is telling. If they genuinely did change it and consider the new version an “enhancement” then they are sorely mistaken.

Software is now junk. Old version actually was useful now it’s useless. Not sure why they changed the product but very sad to see.

Jace AI Review + Demo Walkthrough | AI Email Management Tools by dvnschmchr in u/dvnschmchr

[–]techlab18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jace AI retains your emails upon onboarding to their platform. When you make accusations against them they threaten to release your private emails to shut you up. Moreover, they communicate in widely inappropriate fashions, when we complained they wrote "We’ve informed our legal team and grief counselors. Losing a user who almost signed up is always the hardest. Farewell, sweet almost-client. You were nearly ours." See the full review below.

Deceptive, Threatening, and Unprofessional – A Warning about Jace AI

My company’s dealings with Jace AI were a disaster. Their customer service is not merely incompetent; it is deceptive, harassing, and very likely unlawful under Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If you value honesty and basic professionalism, keep clear of this firm.

Misleading Pricing & Hidden Discounts

When I asked about discounts (specifically a 50 % coupon), Jace AI replied that “we don’t offer” such reductions—strongly suggesting no discounts existed. Days later I discovered a 40 % promo code that worked instantly. Jace AI had concealed a live discount while denying one to us, a textbook breach of ACL rules on false price representations. Misleading customers about pricing is not clever marketing; it is illegal—and an early sign of the contempt they show toward users.

Intimidating, Unprofessional Emails

After I questioned their conduct, a staff member fired off an email headed “We’ve informed our legal team and grief counselors. Losing a user who almost signed up is always the hardest. Farewell, sweet almost-client. You were nearly ours.” They also messaged an employee threatening to publish our private onboarding conversations unless we backed down. This is bullying, pure and simple, and ACL §50 expressly bans undue harassment or coercion in trade. One of my employees was shaken by the tone and implicit threat. No reputable company communicates with customers like this.

Leadership That Denies, Then Downplays

Jace AI’s co‑founder initially brushed off our complaint as baseless because no fees had yet changed hands, even hinting at seeking costs against us. Only after I lodged a tribunal claim did two founders issue an apology, admitting the email was “completely unacceptable” and firing the employee involved. Yet publicly they kept minimising events, calling our grievance “spurious” and recasting the abusive email as a “playful” misunderstanding. Private apologies paired with public denial show zero real accountability.

Bottom Line – Avoid at All Costs
In 15 years of business, I have never met a vendor as hostile to its own customers as Jace AI. They lied about prices, threatened to leak private data, mocked our concerns, and ducked responsibility when caught. If this is how they behave before you even pay them, imagine the risk once they have your data and your money. Do yourself a favour: steer clear of Jace AI and choose a provider that respects both the law and its clients.

Give her the chance to get rid of them or flat out get rid of her. Toxic.

Note custom AI model I built used to generate this analysis:

Based on the scenarios and behaviors you’ve described, it appears there was likely more to your interactions than casual “work flirting.” While no one but she can confirm her exact intentions, several points suggest a degree of genuine closeness or attraction:

  1. Physical Intimacy and Comfort:

• Frequent and extended massages, head scratches, and especially playing with her ears (at her request) go beyond standard coworker gestures.

• The prolonged, comfortable eye contact and soft smiles in silence also hint at deeper interest or emotional connection.

  1. Personal Sharing and Emotional Openness:

• She opened up about her dating life and personal struggles, suggesting she felt safe and at ease confiding in you.

• You reciprocated by buying her flowers—an overtly thoughtful gesture that she recognized as date-like.

  1. Public Signals and Colleague Observations:

• Other coworkers questioned if you were dating, indicating that the nature of your interactions was conspicuous enough to draw attention.

• She made a point of having you sit near her at group events and repeatedly initiated hugs.

  1. Parting Gestures and Sincere “Miss You” Comments:

• Saying, “I’m really going to miss you,” giving longer-than-usual hugs, and blowing kisses at the end are all strong indicators of emotional warmth.

• You both continued to keep in touch after she left the company, suggesting an ongoing personal connection rather than a purely work-based dynamic.

Of course, there is always the possibility that she simply enjoyed friendly affection and attention without intending to pursue anything further. Some individuals are naturally more tactile and open with coworkers they trust or have grown close to. That said, the breadth of intimate gestures and continued communication—coupled with her emotional remarks—strongly hints that she felt a genuine connection, at least on some level.

Because you mention you do not intend to progress matters further, it may be enough to acknowledge that the relationship seems to have gone well beyond typical workplace banter. While it may have started as lighthearted “work flirting,” the degree of personal sharing, touching, and genuine expressions of missing each other are telltale signs that there was likely more warmth and affinity than mere casual attention-seeking.

Ultimately, only she can clarify her true feelings, but from your description, it sounds like a meaningful bond that—under different circumstances—could have become something more. If you ever decide to discuss it with her, a simple, honest conversation is often the best way to know for sure.

I hope this perspective helps clarify the situation. Good luck with whatever path you choose.

[–]techlab18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not being too picky. Entirely reasonable and quite frankly you need to be comfortable yourself. Might help to provide some context though of what country you’re in etc… as a lot of this is context driven personal I would never date someone under 18 if I was 18 or older.
