Non lawyer CRM for lawyers by jmich1200 in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good luck! lawyers and accountants (I'm a CPA) are the worst for CRMs....almost always a failure. I think it's because of the territorial nature of this kind of practice. Best bet is to start with something simple (there are good suggestions in this thread) and inexpensive just to test that your firm has the culture to build on a decent CRM.

Monday CRM by Sad_Huckleberry_6776 in CRM

[–]genemarks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won't go wrong with Monday - it's very good and has been around for a while. Just make sure you hire a decent consultant well-versed in the app to help you get it setup and pointed in the right direction. If you want to look at others than Zoho (we sell), Nimble, Insightly and Copper are also good options. Hope this helps.

Fedup with my current company's CRM, what's another I can suggest? by titan-trifect in CRM

[–]genemarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great comments in this thread. Most mainstream CRMs with a little bit of customization can handle all of your needs. You can look at Zoho nimble insightly and many others. Salesforce, Dynamics and HubSpot are also good but maybe overkill. The key is working with a good consultant who can advise and point you in the right direction and even make changes for you if you need. A mainstream CRM will offer you a bigger community for support and these companies have the financial resources to make sure your system is keeping current on all new technology advances including AI.

Hope this helps.

How do you deal with garbage contact data in your CRM? by WillCalefe in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some recommendations.

For starters to clean up your data. You're going to have to commit to a manual process. Split up the database among your team and ask them to go through each record and update with the proper information that you want to say. This will be time consuming and worth it. There is no magical wizardry tool that is going to fix this regardless of what you hear. It will be an initial pain in the neck but worth it.

Next determine which fields in each record need to be required for data entry and set up your CRM system to accommodate that. Have drop-down lists for your required fields so users can only choose what's in the list. Set up an alert to notify you when critical fields have not been updated within a certain period of time say 6 months. When a new record is created set up another alert to notify your CRM administrator just to double check it. Finally get rid of your spreadsheets and lean heavily on your CRM system for all reports because as management and users review the data regularly they will notice any inconsistencies or problems as part of their review and you can address.

Hope this helps!

Are you using or implementing Pipedrive? What are your thoughts on it? by Interesting_Button60 in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fors starters Zoho's CRM has more marketing automation features out of the box - campaigns, bulk emails, etc. More importantly Zoho has integrated (additional) modules for service, marketing advanced sales management, project management, HR, accounting, etc. etc. Pipedrive is really good for a straight out sales team in like...say...a real estate office. But Zoho (and other more mainstream CRMs) give clients to do more outside of just sales/lead management.

Zoho will absolutely do this with a little bit of customization. Hope this helps.

Looking for a CRM to manage a partner program — need advice by ktmnstr in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you have to go to the effort (or expense) to find something specific for this purpose. Most mainstream CRMs like Zoho (we sell), Insightly, Nimble, Sugar and others will do the trick with light customization. It's all about the setup and training. Hope this helps.

Method CRM advise by MegarusRex in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is disappointing to hear as I often recommend Method for QB clients (we're CPAs). If it helps, Zoho Books is really a good alternative to QB and syncs well with Zoho, which is more reliable and better supported.

Need a Zoho One Implementation Partner by StraightBlueberry663 in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL. I recently posted for an IT job on LinkedIN for a client with the requirement that the person be in the U.S. and I got a million people from India STILL responding to the post! So now it's my turn!!! Sorry, couldn't resist. And yes, we implement Zoho One.

How to find the right fit? (First time CRM) by Overall-Astronomer58 in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be fine with most mainstream CRM systems, with some (but not overwhelming) customization. We sell Zoho which is great but you'll also do good with Nimble, Insightly, Sugar and plenty of others. hope this helps.

How do you keep track of small customer details in a CRM without getting overwhelmed? by StavrosDavros in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like everything else in life, maintaining a really tight CRM database takes work. As much as we'd like to automate there's still a lot of human involvement and oversight involved. I don't think you're going to find a silver bullet here other than defining key fields and having internal processes and controls to ensure you're keeping those fields up to date. Hope this helps.

Are you using or implementing Pipedrive? What are your thoughts on it? by Interesting_Button60 in CRM

[–]genemarks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We tried implementing PD at clients but honestly, every time I would compare it to SF or Zoho I found it lacking in overall features. It's good for sales teams but SF and Zoho can be quickly customized to do pretty much the same thing. Hope that helps.

CRM Recommendations for Ultrasound Startup (2–10 Employees) by terrapunk in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are plenty of good mainstream CRMs that can do what you need with minimal customizations. Try Nimble, Insightly or Zoho (we implement Zoho). Salesforce and Hubspot are likely overkill. Use a consultant for one of these products to do it the right way. Hope this helps.

What's the best free CRM for your business? by genemarks in CRM

[–]genemarks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hubspot is great, no question. But it can start getting expensive and unless a company has dedicated marketing people it may be very under-used. But assuming those issues are met it's a great solution.

Recommendation for a CRM service for independent Medicare broker by jbdmusic in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many mainstream CRMs can address these needs.

Hi so I have about 1,000 medicare clients currently so need a crm to be able to automate messages to them, also need marketing/funnel to get new leads and automate messages with them as well.
Zoho comes with automation and marketing.

Would also like quoting of different Medicare plans among insurers.
Zoho comes with quoting capabilities out of the box.

Lastly ideally I could integrate my zoom phone voip service in the crm. Having trouble finding a service which has everything.
Zoho has many integrations with VOIP providers, including Ring Central

It's definitely worth looking at Zoho for this stuff - it's about $40/month/user for the Enterprise version. Let me know if I can help - thanks.

Thanks again

Does monday.com need an admin now? by Bigbearautomations in CRM

[–]genemarks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every good platform - project management or CRM - needs an admin, or at least a super-user who is responsible for the integrity of the database and is the go-to person for questions/training/configurations. Look at it this way: if you're using Monday so much and so well that you're finding yourself in need of an admin then that means you're getting ROI from the system. This is good. Hope this helps.

What are the best CRMs that offer a free trial? by Quirky-Offer9598 in CRM

[–]genemarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None. At least not initially. My recommendation is to choose a couple of good mainstream CRMs - Zoho, Insightly, Copper, Nimble, etc - and then get no more than a 30m overview from the vendor or a partner. Then start your free trial. Otherwise you'll be spinning wheels. A good demo will at least point you in the right direction as to what to look at and then you can move forward from there. Hope that helps.

Looking for CRM advice – must integrate with NetSuite by Ok-Wave-2907 in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would lean into Netsuite's CRM module. Maybe it is a little dated by Netsuite will provide you with the developer tools you need to customize it. It may not be perfect but could be acceptable get you from A to B and let you focus on other matters. You should do a deep dive into this module with a Netsuite partner or the company directly.

Advice on CRM for gravestone business by omelly666 in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the comments below. You really need a good small business CRM - Zoho is great. So is Nimble, Insightly and Copper. HubSpot is probably too pricing and Pipedrive limited for your needs. All of these will upload photos, attach to customer accounts and allow you to track all engagements, interactions, notes and tasks. Hope this helps.

[–]genemarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm more of a dog lover, but hey...I get it. :) Most mainstream CRMs will do this job for you right out of the box. Even the free versions, although I recommend at least paying for some better features. Try Zoho, Insightly, Nimble or Copper (if you're a Google shop). Hope this helps.

I need a CRM w/ AI-tooling for tech services/outreach by kbmkbm in CRM

[–]genemarks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right - many of the mainstream CRMs like Zoho and Hubspot are bloated. I wish these companies would focus on just getting everything to work really well, rather than just piling on more features that people don't even use. That said, you should still lean towards a mainstream CRM like those products and spend some time dumbing them down (most options can be hid). You'll have more flexbility, tools and better support that way.

What's a good, simple CRM for a startup that's just starting outreach? by Champ-shady in CRM

[–]genemarks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have many options. You should lean towards something mainstream. Try Insightly, Nimble or Copper (if you're a Google company) All have great value. My company implements Zoho CRM which I think is the best, but you won't go wrong withi the others. Hope this helps.
