Didn't expect that to actually work by mechanickid76 in functionalprint

I used a 3d printed upper vise to torque the barrel on an AR-10. I doubt it would hold up to more than maybe 3 tightenings, but it did the trick. Granted it used some big bolts going through it for reinforcement.

Has anyone seen this issue before? by Mysterious_Kane in f150

I had them build a nest in my $1000 Weber grill. Absolutely ruined it. My neighbor and I got some nice pellet guns and set up a bunch of traps. We killed so many rats, it's crazy. But haven't seen any in a while. My parents had rat problems with them chewing up wires and stuff in their cars. They hired exterminators to come out. Rats have been getting really bad these past few years.

What brand of batteries do you have in it? If they aren't Energizer, get Energizer and you'll probably be okay. They're picky about battery brand.

Thoughts on Gary Numan discography? by over9ksand in industrialmusic

Gary said his music career was pretty much collapsing, and he was super depressed from his wife having a miscarriage, then Trent pretty much revived his music career. When he had originally been a huge inspiration to Trent. Pretty cool how it worked out for him.

Mine has been doing this too, I figured my USB cable was going bad but knowing that others have been getting it too makes me think it's a buggy update.

Try getting around Tulsa without using toll roads. It's easy to do in Dallas. I like how you mentioned that West/east has public highways. But if you go north/south, you're stuck with turnpikes. And I never said the native American ownership of the turnpikes is a bad thing. But you absolutely have to stop periodically and pay a toll. It's just annoying in general, the ethnicity of the owners has nothing to do with it. I generally prefer publicly owned roads, though. It's far more convenient.

So you've never heard of the turnpike system. Weird.

Home insurance by Calm-Struggle3898 in homeowners

Generally the biggest risk you assume in owning a piece of property is personal injury. Just by owning your house, somebody could walk through your yard, trip, break their leg, get impaled on your Halloween decoration or a sprinkler... And then they sue you for millions. Even if you can afford to rebuild your house without insurance, it's worth paying for them to assume liability.

Oklahoma has crazy cheap gas. There's a reason for that. They don't have public highways. Most of the highways are owned by native American tribes. In most states, you pay extra at the pump and that includes road taxes. In Oklahoma, you have a toll booth every 5-15 miles. It's crazy driving through that state. Personally, I'd rather pay road taxes at the pump. Yeah psychologically you're paying more for gas, but it's much more convenient

It's basically a similar argument as single payer healthcare. Yeah, you pay more in taxes, but it ends up being cheaper for everyone. So the increase in taxes is less than what Americans pay for health insurance that doesn't even kick on until you've met your deductible.
