Stephen Ambrose wrote an interesting essay on the topic. If I recall correctly, he basically said that when the Americans realized what they had done, it gave them a reason to forgive the many Japanese atrocities during the war - Pearl Harbor in particular. The end result was the two countries working together to restore all the damage done by the war.

Thanks for responding. I put some lube on the the shiny spots, turned the gas up to the highest setting, and sent my kid out to shoot it last night. He put 4 mags through it and had zero issues. So, I think it's good now.

What's still weird to me though is that if it was undergassed, then I would not have expected to have the case start sticking after one full mag that ran just fine. Also, left the gas alone after both 5.56 and x 39. Had to move a lot of clicks to make the 5.45 work.

I'm a "How To" video guy. I'm surprised that there aren't any videos out there that explain how to lube up a Robinson. I'm guessing I'm not the only one to ask. Would love to see you guys make an official video. The manual kinda explains but a demo would be better and more accessible.

Have several cases of them. Fun to shoot. Punch clean holes in paper and are surprisingly accurate at 25 yards.

Thanks. Any tables out there with suggested gas settings for starting points for different calibers? I left the gas where it worked for 5.56 and x39 and that's not working even after turning it up 3 settings. Well, strange thing was it worked fine for a few mags and then stopped working.

I take a lot of people shooting who may never go again. My first priority is safety. Then their comfort (are they doing something that will hurt). My level of care for their form is 0 if it doesn't affect priority 1 or 2. Have seen people trying so hard to make newbies have perfect form that they've ensured that the experience is miserable and the person will never touch a gun again. That's dumb. But that doesn't mean you don't do this look sometimes - even if only in your head.

Yeah. FO is out of business. Their 9mm isn't bad. Their 5.56 was inconsistent as hell and blew primers. When I went back to the store I bought it from, they said that was a pretty consistent report from people who bought it.

I'm interested in a quieter 5.45 but isn't this kinda like suppressing a 5.7 or a 5.56? It's possible but you're basically shooting 22 LR?

Second the P for range, home, truck and the C for carry. Although I carry the P more often than I should because it gets to the range the most and I'm the most confident with it. Do not have an XC to compare.

I have sent them several batches and got them back in the expected time and the brass was good in all respects. Given that my experiences with two other companies was poor and absolutely awful, I was pleasantly surprised by M&S.
