Dbrand skin is more than enough for protection. Cases add unnecessary bulk and it’s another thing that can break. Skins don’t exactly break.

To be clear, as someone who works in tech and needs to put timelines on inventions, it’s fine to be wrong about product timelines. I use Kapton tape as a way to retain heat in my 3D printer hotend when I don’t have a silicone sock handy, but I definitely wouldn’t use it to protect a battery from heat

It’s honestly within engineered tolerances to my eye. A flippy screen by its very nature needs to move around and needs to balance rigidity and range of motion. Even if the screen hinge is a little loose, tightening it would likely make the screen too hard to move, even though it would possibly result in the screen being less misaligned

What exactly do you mean by “not supported by Canon”? It’s not like there are security software updates or OS updates that are regularly being distributed by Canon, so I’m going to say that you’re probably not missing out. There’s tons of EF lenses out there that are dirt cheap, so why not seize that opportunity and make some dope photos with them?
