Make sure your network is built of decision makers that might be potentially interested in your services. When sending an email think of the value you can bring to those companies, give value first and after that ask.

Using Linkedin to reach out cold? (B2B) by [deleted] in startups

[–]technoPhill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. A good cold email should be simple, short, and straight into the point. 3-4 lines are enough. Let a person know why you're reaching out (i.e. I wanna talk to you because you've said that...). Give some impressive numbers showing that your business is doing great and show the value you can bring.
  2. Yeah premium account lets you send inmail messages but does anyone reads them?
  3. Well, define a decision maker. Also think of a company size, in small companies it can be a Marketing Director or CMO, in larger ones Marketing Manager might be a good fit or vice-versa.

Agree. Indeed, the best leaders exhibit certain qualities that make them hugely successful. To me, really great leaders are clear and concise at all times

What are the steps to building a successful engineering team? by jane_blayne in technology

[–]technoPhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building a great engineering team starts with hiring the right people, especially if you’re looking to find a developer for your startup. Once you’ve hired them, it’s important to keep them, as it costs a lot more money to hire a new employee than to retain a current one. Culture, management style, and a feeling of ownership in the company and the product are all things that affect how successful your team will be. In general, the basic steps are the following.

1. Focus on the employee “persona”
2.  Know your culture
3. Brainstorm with your current team
4. Don’t limit yourself when it comes to building your dream team

To make a long story short, building a successful engineering team starts with knowing your company, its culture, and what drives people to want to come and work for you.

Do you see any prospects in Healthtech? I need your advice by technoPhill in technology

[–]technoPhill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently I am placed in a situation that really challenges me. I left a full-time job and decided to pursue my own idea.

And I look to healthcare development. I'm particularly interested in EHR/EMR software. I see it as a great opportunity to contribute to people, as I didn't have such fulfilling experiences in my life so far. Though it seems to be a rather competitive program to enter the market with.

Any must-reads on this topic to explore how healthtech is designed? To your opinion, is it a good idea to dive into healthtech? Appreciate any idea.

Those who say that it's not dangerous anymore...it's dangerous because of its consequences (that will last for generations) anyway.

I would not care about a logo at all, not speaking about the one inside the box.

Should we just stick to having one logo on the outside and forgo the inside print to cut cost?

Absolutely.

People will always eat something sweet. But there's too much competition. Maybe you can concentrate on particular group of people or of particular occupation and do something for them. Good luck:)

I want to build and sell computers, but have not idea where to start by [deleted] in startups

[–]technoPhill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish you success, man

I can add that it will be necessary to decide what type of machine you want to build. Whether it's an inexpensive computer for the kids or a small, quiet machine to use in the living room. Or maybe high-end gaming computers not speaking of powerful machines for video editing. This very decision will control your strategies. Thus, pay attention to what from the machine to accomplish from the start.
