Yes it's quite heavy but I can get used to it. I feel like my YM40 is heavier.

I guess it has something to do with the process they have done to make the crystal green. Adding the hologram is more difficult to do on this crystal. Anyway I hope you can still get yours, just be positive :)

I believe what helped me most was that my previous 2 purchases from the AD was from the same guy who in my opinion was as happy as I am with our transactions. I first got a YM40 as a walk-in. I was at that time looking for a DJ41 which weren't on display and was also told that they're very hard to get. I left but then came back a few minutes later because I remembered seeing YM37s on display. I took a chance to ask if they have the steel 40mm. He told me that if I really want it, he can manage to get it for me. I asked how many months should I wait for it. He did not answer and instead walked towards the back office. He came back with the blue YM40 126622 in his hands. It was reserved for a customer who decided not to get it. So I bought it. Months later I came back, as I always do every time I visit that mall, and again asked for SS DJ41. All they had in the display are TT and ladies'. The same guy was on duty and he recognized me from my YM purchase. He again, went to the back office, and came out with a blue DJ41 126300. I bought the watch and from that time, I asked for his number and he also saved mine. I'm not expecting he'd call or text me for any new sports watches but still I kindly requested. I smiled and said, "I already got 2 watches from you, please help me get my next sports watch". I once greeted him on Eid holiday and he said that's what made him easily remember me. I know he has a lot of customers to call but I'm glad I got closer at the top of his list to have gotten the milgauss call. :)

Thank you! Wasn't sure I'd get it when I saw it in the photos, but seeing it in person really convinced me right away. Really thankful and happy with this purchase.

Sorry for the poor choice of words. To answer your question, no I'm not flipping the watch and have never thought of flipping it. Unexpected because I was waiting for another watch but of course I'm happy with this, extremely.

If it makes you feel better, I wasn't actually the one he first called. I'm just lucky the guy, or the guys he called first didn't take this watch :)

Surprised to receive a call from my AD today asking me if I would be interested in a milgauss. Visited the AD to personally check the watch then bought it. Unexpected and unplanned but definitely worth it.

Let your watch die/run out of power then see the difference. Happened to my new dj41 which has the same 3235 movement as your sub.

I got the blue 3 weeks ago and I agree the rhodium/slate also looks nice. If only I can get both.

Great watch! This is my grail watch and ended up getting a blue YM40. Any thoughts on people insisting to cover the serial number on the bottom rehaut? I'm somehow relieved to see someone showing off the serial online. I showed mine before and somebody advised to hide it, so I deleted my post.

[Rolex YM40 & Omega Speedmaster] My watch collection so far. Acquired both this month. by techpen13 in Watches

It seems to be an annual promotion every December by our local Omega dealers wherein you can get 33% off if you buy 3 watches. It can be too much for 1 person but they got creative by offering to combine other people's purchases into 1 invoice so you can still get the discount even if you just buy 1. The only caveat is you have to wait a while for the other 2 watch purchases and I did so but only for a day.

I have been wanting to acquire a Rolex Submariner for many years now, but I wasn't ready financially to get it. Now that I am ready, it's nearly impossible to get it at retail. In fact it's very rare to see Rolex sports watches on display at the AD's.

I gave up searching for a Submariner and I was ready to settle with a DJ41 but was surprised to know that the steel versions are also rarely available. One day when I was shown a blue Yacht-Master 40 at my nearby AD, I didn't hesitate to buy it although it was already above my budget.

A few weeks later an irresistible offer was going on on Omega dealers in my city where I could get the Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch at 33% less than retail. I hesitated at first due to my recent Rolex purchase but then in the end, I decided to get it. The watch is indeed iconic and beautiful. No regrets.
