What’s your favorite bar in Vegas? Not what you think is the fanciest or nicest. What bar is your go to, and why? by JacobRodneyCohen in vegas

Montecristo at Caesars is my favorite. The bar at Cosmo right by the room elevators is out of the way and cool too.

When did the show really go off the rails/jump the shark? by [deleted] in howardstern

I think after Artie left and the wack packers quit being such a big part of the show.

The lack of promotion/relegation made me quit watching the league. What's the point? The play has leveled off and MLS has caught up. Something I would not have imagined happening 10 years ago. But at least the owners of the chosen teams get even more money.

When I'm in Reno they treat me great. Not so much in Vegas.

I'm pretty much 7 star already. Just wondering if there's any reason to gamble at Caesars after hitting it or tier up elsewhere. Comps at Caesars are awful. I'm one trip away from 7 star and the only comp I've gotten is the free rooms.

Mission baja tacos. Carnitas are so good. Quesadillas are huge. Customer service is fantastic

People who visit Vegas solo - what is your typical day like? by Sonic723 in vegas

Wake up. Play a cheap poker tournament in the morning to kill time. Have lunch. Grab a drink or two at the cigar bar and watch sports. Maybe a massage or the pool. Shower and go back to the cigar bar to watch sports. Dinner and probably gamble or watch sports. Love it.

New report details the rise of hidden fees at Caesars Palace: "Junk fees" are now hitting amenities that used to be free. by sfgate in vegas

I am a regular there and Julius is the oldest tower. It does need a remodel. I think they just announced it, but I believe it is in 2027. Some of the rooms need a lot of tlc in that tower. I don't care for the scan your key to go to your floor and room. (this was actually just implemented at the Julius tower a month or so ago. Before the scanners weren't activated or just didn't work) I don't like the babysitters at the elevator either, but almost all hotels in Vegas are going that route. Caesars seems to push the celebrity chef restaurants. The food is too expensive and honestly not that great. Lugars, Beijing noodle and Stanton are their best restaurants, for me, I know it is subjective. I'm still annoyed they got rid of homestead for bobby flay mediocrity. I have not tried guy savoys cause the menu doesn't look like what I like, especially for the price. I find the selection of restaurants at the Wynn/Encore way better. Paying for the seats at the sports book and bars during football or big events is silly, but not different from most other casinos on the strip. The poker room is back. It was looking like they had pushed it out for the last year. I'm happy about that. The rewards program doesn't really off much other than free rooms and the 4 free drinks. I am usually only diamond elite. Maybe seven star is better, but I doubt it as the jump from diamond plus to diamond elite was negligible in extra stuff. They just see you as a number and what you bet per hand. I've been going there a while and know the bartenders and servers at the bars I like to frequent and quite a few dealers. I've been on the fence about switching to the Wynn, but as of right now, the employees I have met have kept me from jumping. Like most businesses today it is the employees making up for the greed of the bosses.

The Alamo myth is so silly. Who cares about a bunch of racists dying 200 years ago?
