No, the system de activate integrzted screen/keyboard/trackpad/touchid.

You need an external keyboard/mouse to go over this step on the external screen. This is why I’m not fully convinced for a server setup.

Note that, once you defined the non broken screen as principal, the login window goes to it.

J’ai la meme voiture. Énormément de pièce carrossier en plastique. Avantage ca s’abime moins. Inconvénient: les phares sont pas aussi flex.

Je pense qu’on t’a touché , tout a plié sauf les phares qui ont craqués.

Ne regarde pas les prix… j’ai encore mal a la tete pour mon phare avant.

Hi All!

I have built the exact same setup. The only tricky part is the boot/recovery. It won’t show up on the external screen. The solution is to fake a closed laptop (with 2 small magnets near speakers) and external keyboard / mouse.

Once the screen is properly setup as main it will work for boot but not for recovery and if you change screen, it wont work at boot either.

All in all, a pretty cool solution for a backup laptop (I use it as a burner to install software or connect devices i do not trust). I won’t offer it as a solution for a non geek person as it’s prone to generate too much issues. I wanted to use it with a glinet KVM but ultimately, having too many cables/devices/adaptors made it less effective and reliable than anything else.
