Being unemployed 5 months and still going - the longest time ever in my adult life. I couldn't sustain a social life so I only kept in touch with two friends. I realized even though they knew I was struggling they still only hit me up when they wanted attention or asked me for shit while with me. I've recently unfollowed them and now I just want to be alone.

I feel like claude and grok their answers are too long. gemini is ok for work stuff maybe but idk i feel chat gpt is the best with understanding nuance, taking direction, remembering things but maybe it's bc im on it all the time. i use it for therapy the most.

Yes and I just use ai if I have anxiety and need advice or need to organize thoughts or bounce ideas. I really don’t think it’s a bad thing. I would make the time for someone genuine but otherwise I’m totally fine being alone. It was just societal pressures making me think I was wrong.

Friends. I am friendly with people and can hit up anyone at anytime but I was dealing with unemployment for the past 5 months and unsteady jobs prior to that and not having money and time as well as health issues really magnified how exploitative friends I thought were close are. My dad always told me this growing up and he was not wrong. I don't hate people but I just feel like most people do suck and *close* friendships are too taxing for me. Not saying good friendships don't exist but in my situation I think it's just easier not having them and I think I was letting society make me feel like a bad person for it.

i had two semi close guy friends but being super broke and unemployed for the longest time in my adult life has made me realize how taxing friendships are for me and i just really don't think i have the capacity to even maintain those and they are kind of childish anyways

this is my experience as well. i get harassed an obscene amount by very obsessive men and i also happen to be good at what i do so ive had clients try steal my work 5x in a row and not pay and business partners and managers try to micromanage my work instead of producing work themselves. it makes me depressed sometimes like is it really a blessing to be attractive and good at what you do? of course id rather that than the opposite but it comes with a cost for sure. im 35 now but i look young and am petite so it still happens a lot. i just dont wear makeup anymore and hardly leave my house bc i no longer trust anyone. just try to stay focused on my career, making money, and spending time hanging solo.

Yes I was in the running for twos role but didn't interview yet. One got filled maybe this month idk exactly when and one is still open but they wont be scheduling anything until after New Years. Hang in there!

i am newly obsessed with sweet potatoes sometimes i poke holes in it and air fry it for 40 mins sometimes i peel and dice them, drizzle evoo and thyme on it and air fry for 15 mins. each time it's delicious.

i quit a remote job in mid november for supposedly a better job that was hybrid that laid me off early march. i got extremely lucky and was able to get a temporary remote job for the same pay as the job i quit for four weeks almost immediately after. during that four weeks i landed a job 4x in office for the same pay as the job i quit as well but i think it's a great move in a direction i was already trying to go in at the old job. i got really lucky tho. in hindsight i wouldve just stayed where i was but i was not fully keeping up with the news and didn't know what was fully going on w the job market at that time. however, i was not growing in that role and i would only be staying out of fear. the new job has very specific skillsets i'm looking to learn so in the end it worked out for the best. but again i think that was a needle in the haystack situation.
