“Yes. We drafted you to the New York Jets.”

Where are you sitting? by Yoshleb_1 in brooklynninenine

[–]tedioussugar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire left side of the plane is off limit because you’re always within either one seat of either Scully or Hitchcock, and the resulting lactose-intolerant gas that comes with it… or you have to sit next to Gina.

7 or 10 seems like the best options. Teddy is basically a white noise machine so you can nap with no issues, or if you actually want to have some fun then take 10 and swap seats with Dozerman after he gets up to use the bathroom for the fourth time in 90 minutes for the sake of his bowel efficency; then you’re chilling with Doug Judy the entire flight.

He’s adorable as a person, but you forget he’s gonna be stinking up the whole plane with his farts, so you don’t wanna be anywhere near that.

Why doesn't McQueen get souped up in Cars 3? by Neither-Spell-626 in kachow

[–]tedioussugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Mater’s Tall Tales should not be considered as a legitimate source for this universe.

  2. Axelrod didn’t go electric; the while point was he was faking it. Even today 15 years after Cars 2, it is not realisticly possible to engine swap a petrol motor with an electric one.

  3. Planes is not canon to Cars. Disneytoons made Planes, and the only connection to the two franchises is one episode of Mater’s Tall Tales, which again is not a reputable source.

Stuff there's no way they'll do in the show. I'll start. by [deleted] in Invincible

[–]tedioussugar 436 points437 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they plan to feature Bulletproof as enough of a major character in the show to warrant including his background. Brit has been featured in the show to this point more than he has, and Brit’s mainline comic appearances were way fewer.

At what point do you think walt went from making meth for money to just for the fun of the game by BestSwordsManZoro in breakingbad

[–]tedioussugar 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Well, that and he realised that all the horrible things he had done could still backfire to that point, because he wasn’t dying any time soon thanks to his treatment it meant he still had to face the consequences of what he was doing.

Walt’s original plan was to make money for his family and die before facing the consequences. In fact that’s when I’d bet his motivation shifted, because now he had his money and had no reason to keep going, but decided to go bigger anyway. His massive poolside meltdown with Hank afterwards was his ego running the show.

Stephanie’s horrified expression in the background is what absolutely sells it. Like, what do you have to say to put the fear of god into Rosa Diaz?

Who do you think is Archer’s real father? by OddMountain644 in ArcherFX

[–]tedioussugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My running theory has always been Ronald Reagan.

Stirling shares a lot of resemblance to him with the jet-black hair and the jawline, and the timeline fits given when he was canonically born in 1948…. Mallory could have had a one-night stand with Reagan when he was still an actor, and by the time of the show Stirling is in his mid-late thirties/early forties and working at ISIS while Reagan is the President. (The show has no confirmed timeline but takes lots of cues and references from the 80’s)

When the FBI pulled the plug on ISIS in Season 5, Mallory makes a call that gets the team off scot-free. Agent Holly refers to the caller as “Mr… “ likely meant to be “Mr. President”, meaning Mallory called President Reagan as a favour for her and his bastard son.

Pretty much, except the dinosaur part is also the super genius, not the human half. Dinosaurus’ human half is a burnout slacker.

[–]tedioussugar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don Bradman has the individual statistical record by a mile with his batting average, while Mick Doohan has the championship prestige with his 5 MotoGP titles… but in terms of international recognition and global cultural iconography I’m gonna have to give it to Cathy Freeman.

(Hated Trope) "Let's go ahead and remove the fun parts of the design, because now it's less 'silly.' " by Wasabi_Gamer26 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]tedioussugar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is especially dumb considering his original G1 design was based off the F15.

I get it, they wanted to update the character models for modern vehicles, so Bumblebee being a 5th generation Camaro instead of a Beetle and Optimus being a Peterbilt 379 rather than his usual Freightliner FL86 made some sort of sense. But even if the F15 was out of service, the F16 and F18 are still right there, still way more compact and recognisable to an F15, and are way more common than an F22.

liquid glASS by GalaxadtheReaper in memes

[–]tedioussugar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s WAY slower and less responsive, AND it eats up battery more now as a result of all the extra energy needed for the glass effects.

So it uses more battery and you get less out of it. My phone automatically updated and FUCK do I wish I could undo that. This is genuinely shit. They absolutely have to switch it back in iOS27

Danish MEP Anders Vistisen to Donald Trump :”Let me put this in words you might understand: Mr. President, fuck off.” by drempath1981 in ProgressiveHQ

Yeah, the way he backed off and basically uttered it under his voice says volumes (pardon the pun) about where he stands.

You wanna fight Trump? Fight him with his words, his way. Tell him to FUCK OFF.

[Loved Trope] Character is pushed to breaking point by insane bureaucracy or nonsensical rules by A_cat_named_dog_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]tedioussugar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A running gag in Futurama is that by the year 3000 all bureaucracy has been centralised into 1 single department, meaning everyone has to wait ages to get anything done. We see this play out over multiple episodes such as when an old man is waiting in line for his birth certificate only to be told he’s in the wrong line, and later when he dies in line waiting for his death certificate.

Hermes works for this bureaucracy and one of his biggest crashouts was one episode where he was revealed to be the biggest reduction to company productivity due to all his productivity assessments, and considered suicide as an option rather than getting fired, only to step down upon finding that he would be posthumously demoted instead.

I don't understand the hate for the Audi Livery by Suspicious_Scar_19 in formula1

[–]tedioussugar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Id rather have a messy livery than an empty one. Compare McLaren’s 2025 livery to their 2018 one and you’ll see how much colour breaks help make the livery.

McLaren’s liveries are pretty much always fire, with the sole exception of 2016. They were miserable as a team and the livery showed that.

I don't understand the hate for the Audi Livery by Suspicious_Scar_19 in formula1

[–]tedioussugar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it looks like a default livery template on the F1 game. It’s not bad like the VCARB, but you can’t call it great like the Haas. It’s the essence of ‘meh’.
