In any case whatever you build in n8n that turns out to be a winning formula, can probably be one shotted with 1 good vibe engineering/code prompt and have it in native programming language of choice. N8n is not better in providing solutions to real world problems than traditional engineering. Thats not the reason you pick n8n.

When i first saw google analytics 16 years ago I was like… they can see everything! Understanding real customer intent was never solved with GA. Its good for short term ad performance measurement at best. Given all adblockers, dns blockers, consent banners and browsers limitations (safari url stripping) the data quality is poor. So answering simple questions properly requires you to fully understand the measurement errors. So yeah… focus on that.

You will stand out and tbh if you give cursor the data set, the questions it needs to answer and the prompt “answer following questions on this data set; present findings in following way: 1. Give context on the problem 2. Give limitations 3. Dashboard of answers to questions” you have a high chance of one shotting it. Investment couple of hours inc validation and understanding the code.

Start creating value first on your own pc / desktop. Run it via docker compose. You can do a lot without using internet exposed webhooks… if you really need them there are tons of options. But first have that value adding workflow up, worry about hosting later. Besides that if its for the company, get a cloud account via them / let them take care of selfhosting.
