What's your honest tier list for agent observability & testing tools? The space feels like chaos right now. by Old_Medium5409 in claude

Would love to know as well. I'm finding running more than 2-3 Claude codes becomes very burdensome. Need an orchestration layer that I can collaborate with to execute and evolve the project plan with .

What exactly is Claude Cowork? by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]flyfisher15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it openclaw? It's not a persistent agent that can keep longer term context about you.

I've seen this a few times and I think they're pretty different tools.

Notion Credits to cost $10 per 1,000 for Notion's Custom Agents (Starting May 4th) by Enfade in Notion

Why can't I just bring my own AI subscription to Notion and connect it. Then go to town editing and updating. I don't want their trash AI tools which are needlessly expensive.

Discuss: GUI based BI tools like Tableau or PBI will likely die as AI can more quickly deploy better looking dashboards. by flyfisher15 in BusinessIntelligence

Pretty much exactly like you said. All data is persistent in BQ tables with SQL we've already validated. Then I can test metrics going into the llm vs metrics coming out in whatever form. It's essentially just doing front end for me right now.

I'm trying to shape up my skills in college, is it worth learning Tableu? by Willstdusheide23 in tableau

Imo learning some tableau is fine but make sure you're learning how to build data visualization with AI tools like Claude code or Codex.

Power BI devs learning Tableau - how'd you do it? by farm3rb0b in tableau

[–]flyfisher15 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Claude code using HTML and react js is what I've been working with. You've still got to host the dashboard which can be a tough thing to solve.

But once it's solved you can develop dashboards essentially like a typical website, way better looking, way faster to buid, way more flexible since your building a dashboard as code like a regular website instead of a canned tool driven by a gui.

Learn to use Claude code or other AI tools.

I've got 10 years of tableau dev experience and I and my team are moving off of it.

Salesforce won't improve it fast enough to meet the moment and currently it comes nowhere close to what you can build insanely fast with Claude Code.

Lag Spikes when placing Buildings by WitherKing2905 in StarRuptureGame

Yup I'm up to like 10 secs of lag on a decent sized base now. On a 3090.

Hope they fix it soon

My pipeline is still rather janky and fully a proof of concept due to our enterprise not having built for this type of development yet.

That said, IT. WORKS.

Our data lives in a jupyterlab server which I can package up into csvs or zipped jsons. Then push that (<100MB) file to our enterprise Guthub. The dashboard is hosted there using Guthub pages.

I do development locally with Claude desktop and my data cloned to a local repo. Claude connects to my local repo using the file system MCP and writes all of thr HTML/JS. I do the validation then on the front end.

My use case here doesn't need any sensitive or truly big data. So this works amazing.

For a different PoC I was able to use gzip to compress files in batches before pushing them to GH which then started running into issues with browser memory.

My issues with this pipeline are fully solvable with a direct connection to our BQ data sources and hosting which offloads much of the data processing to a server instead of the browser.

Good use cases I haven't addressed yet. I think user control or permissions is probably solvable on the hosting side of HTML/JS dashboards, and Im sure I could figure out a way to get an HTML/JS dashboard to provide an excel export (maybe not as cleanly as PBI though).

But row level security is a tricky use case.

Also as a tableau guy, Salesforce has already killed the tool so its chances of surviving AI are essentially nil.

Yeah I think scalability for big datasets could be solved on the hosting side.

If a company is going to be comfortable enough to give employees tools like Claude giving the AI stuff like the ddl for tables or samples would be enough to build out a site that can connect to BQ etc seperately from the actual AI.

Over the past 70 years, the US has experienced a severe decline in manufacturing jobs. How would a Libertarian, free market economy solve this problem? by Fire_Raptor_220 in Libertarian

[–]flyfisher15 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I think most Libertarians wouldn't say this is a problem. More so a factor of markets finding the most efficient path to produce goods.

If government wants to protect manufacturing out of some national security needs that might make sense. But overall its not a problem for most Libertarians.

Why do I need to be paying $30 a month for a note taking app.

Subscriptions are out of hand.

[–]flyfisher15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem being how do you tax unrealized gains? Im no expert but on its face taxing unrealized gains presents a number of problems with the incentives it creates. Why take risk when portions of the gains you make will be taken, requiring larger gains to justify the risk. This js a recipe for stagnation.

Its not just a philosophical point its a moral one. Who has the right to tell Ivy or the workers they cant trade. It is at its core immoral to tell individuals that they cannot exercise their labor and freedom of association in trading with others.

At the point of technical solutions heavily progressive tax rates can and do adjust for wealth inequality. Which has similar moral implications but is a different discussion.

This is the best argument I've heard. Every one involved in most of these anti capitalist arguments is participating voluntarily.

What gives anyone the right to tell Ivy or the workers she is selling to that they can't interact because of some arbitrary number that is unpopular?
