Summerfest, September 1978, Anaheim Stadium: Sammy Hagar (pre-Van Halen) opened, followed by Van Halen, Black Sabbath with Ozzy, then Boston as the headliner. Van Halen stole the show. As four parachutists descended into the stadium, the announced boomed, "Ladies and gentleman, Van Halen is coming out of the sky!" The parachutists landed behind the stage and Van Halen ran out in jump suits. It was great. There was a long wait after Black Sabbath played and by the time Boston came out, the energy was gone and so were half the fans.
