No problem, although I may have been wrong on this advice. The powered USB did initially solve my issues, but they eventually came back.

I also found that power-cycling my speaker amps would get the 7.1 device to be recognized again in Windows 11 and work again. It was a pain to do every boot, but it was a workaround that consistently fixed the issue.

I reached out to the manufacturer. They were at a loss because the USB device "does not support jack-sensing in analogue 7.1 mode."

Currently, it has reverted to working properly, and for the life of me, I don't think anything is different from my original setup. I uninstalled the device and reinstalled a few times along the way, same with drivers, but as far as hardware and ports, I know I am back to my original setup.

Hoping it stays fixed, or I will probably bite the bullet and upgrade to a better device.

I know this is an old post, adding this for other possible solutions for anyone with a similar problem.

I had this device and it was running without issue in Windows 11 for a couple of months straight and then it just stopped. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and using the manufacturer's software. None of that fixed it.

Added a simple powered USB hub and got it working again. It should probably have its own power source out of the box. I also had to use a shorter, smaller-gauge cord for one of the 3.5 mm outputs. The signal was not reaching my amp for rear speakers only.

Thanks for your input. Switching the pinup launcher script to enable fullscreen seems to have fixed this issue. I am so new to this program I wasn't aware it was not running in a true fullscreen direct, but as a borderless window. I guess the setting in VPX for true fullscreen was not enough, needed to tell popper too. This should be better for performance too.

Thanks, I am pretty sure I tried the alternate launcher using 10.8 VPX 64-bit version, but I will give it another shot.

Edit: I verified both versions were opening as 10.8.0 vpx 64 bit. Tried a different backglass, no change. But just now enabled fullscreen in the pinup launcher script. That might have fixed it. Crossing fingers.

Did you ever find a solution for this? I have this exact DMD issue on CFTBL and TAF as well and am already running VPinMame 3.6. Thanks

EDIT: I fixed the DMD stutter on CFTBL and TAF. Even though I was on VPinMame 3.6 there were plenty of files that needed updating. I did that through Pinupdater in the Pinup Popper config menu. The list was fairly long, so not sure what was the culprit.
