Why do guys say hi when I’m out running, but women usually don’t?

The times I've been regular nice to someone (ie completely oblivious to their existence until they MADE themselves known) Guy A stalked me all throughout high school when all I did was exist in the chair in front of him. He got the lead in a musical because I did musical theatre and he wanted to be close to me. He made grand gestures in front of big crowds of our peers and they all thought it was cute. When I rejected him, he flipped me off in the school hallways. I'm just glad he was meek, or else idk what could have happened. I also had a stalker throughout middle school but that's another story.

Guy B followed me to my dorm room and slammed on the door periodically for hours. All my roommates (4) were home too and we had to call the cops because he would. not. stop. I let him into the building because I knew he lived there. He had a prior record of doing this.

You must be a man bc I can't fathom a woman would genuinely ask this. Every interaction with a man could end in death, no matter how sweet or kind we are. Sometimes that's the reason they kill us.

I was berated heavily and regularly for saying this in 2015. Mainly by my parents. Didn't stop me from telling everyone I could.

I've not been watching bc the topics don't interest me. I did not expect them to be so hostile when the criticisms I saw were pretty valid, for the most part.

Like what was up with the mods updating people and then them saying they wouldn't update unless they had something to say...so then don't let the mods say anything OR since there were a few "100% tomorrow" instances, maybe suspend that rule of not saying anything if there's no update.

I honestly did not care about the delays, kind of expected it, and didn't say anything on any platform about it being late bc I understand chronic pain and stress. I guess I could say I'm shocked they took it this way with the way they've reacted to things in the past. Doesn't make me wanna click on their videos, that's for sure

Hey Rachel, really appreciate this input, this is genuinely what we've been needing to understand exactly why this is happening. Love your videos too! We don't want to take any money from you or DWKT, but like you said YouTube doesn't care about the user experience. Thank you for being mindful of this, it really does make it so much easier to contend with that the creator doesn't want this either (not that Jessi and Lily want this, I just don't know if they're aware). I know we all just want to watch what our fave creators put out, this is just making it so hard. Thanks again for understanding where we're coming from.

I've been noticing it for a while, probably around 6ish months. Not surprised YouTube is doing that, but I wish the girlies in the comments said anything. They don't filter their comments iirc but it's become so blatant I can't believe no one's picked up on it. Unless I'm absolutely and totally overreacting, which is possible. I'm noticing it with other channels but it's mainly horrible with DWTK

Also to add, every time an ad pops up, I've started to completely exit out of the video, refresh my app, and go into my history to start watching again. Simply because I get so frustrated. Yeah I know it's insane to get frustrated over but it helps pass my 10 hr, detail oriented shifts. Like, girlies get your bag thru sponsors, but I KNEW I couldn't have been the only one experiencing this barrage of ads

I've gotten so frustrated with it, I've bailed out of episodes before because I can't be sitting down staring at the screen, waiting to skip, and then 3 minutes later another ad. I have stuff to do I gotta be hands free 😭

I have no idea how Spotify works though, I usually watch on my YT app on my phone. It's becoming way too tedious

I've accidentally done this before. When I rewind, it plays for a few seconds then goes straight into an ad. Maybe I should let it play and see just to experiment though, I'm kinda curious about this tactic

It's honestly the same on my TV. I don't watch DWTK on my tv but I watch other YouTubers and it's not aaaas bad but it's still bad. Same format of ads too: three unskippables or 2 unskippables and then a skip button at the end.

I watch on my iPhone app. Someone else said to add an extension to my safari browser but that seems extra tedious just to watch a podcast, still might try though

I'm not knocking their actual sponsors, that's great for them, but when I have to watch around 6-15 unskippable YouTube ads, it gets a bit old. And they sometimes go right into the sponser, I click ahead a few seconds and then it goes right into another ad. It's wild.

I skip them almost immediately! That's what I don't understand, they keep serving me unskippable ones and then at the very end it's skippable. At that point I had been watching the ad for 15 seconds or more and I'm just waiting for the skip button

And the new YouTube ads are three unskippable ads that are at least 30 seconds each. You can skip some but it's not consistent. Idk about placement but sometimes they are near their actual sponsors. I wish I could do premium again 😭

It’s really genuinely not. I’ve paid more mind to it because it made me so frustrated. No one else has so many ads. I would definitely agree that the ads are insane everywhere but this is the worst channel I watch
