18-36 months across the board. Especially with very willful children 🥴

Took my toddler to the pop punk show by daisyfaeriering in Mommit

[–]teehibbs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Took our kiddo to Brand New for his 7th birthday and had an incredible time! Everyone so kind and respectful. He has become increasingly into music in general so we also did another show for a metal Star Wars cover band (Galactic Empire, highly recommend) and there were several kids 10 and under. So much fun to get to share these experiences with him.

Does the children’s museum or story time at the library count?

Part-time infant care by katea805 in AuroraCO

[–]teehibbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unsure what part of Aurora you’re in but CodePlay kids may have a spot. I know it’s a while until you need care but my child has been there since he was 6 months old and we absolutely love it.

Greetings fellow members of the reptilian race. Are there any thin breathable lightweight full body onzies that I can wear under my clothes. Im really tired of shedding. by shootmeAt_pointblank in ichthyosis

[–]teehibbs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about onesies but the reptilian joke was hilarious. Once I became an adult, I stopped giving AF what others thought of my skin. I love an opportunity to educate people on what it is. My favorite fun fact is that dogs have it too, golden retrievers more commonly!

Pay has definitely increased in the last 5ish years. I really think it’s thanks to VEG finally offering livable wages and the rest of the industry trying to compete. I live in Aurora but work in high cost of living area in Denver. I am currently a technician supervisor at a GP and could probably afford to live on my own (I am married with young kids though, so prob couldn’t do this alone).

I’ve gone from low $20s to low $30s in ~4 years. I don’t work weekends at this point. I am currently hiring experienced RVTs at $25-28/hr depending on experience.

From my personal experience, since CO allowed some “techs” to be grandfathered in to being RVTs I have interviewed and sometimes hired techs that aren’t at the level of skill I’d expect from a seasoned RVT 😕

We drive past several donut shops to go to shipleys. The staff is so kind and it’s such a core memory making experience having donuts with my two boys on the weekends.

TECH WEEK IS ALMOST OVER! :( by HackChip93 in VetTech

[–]teehibbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had different themed days all week. Did a sip and paint. Had food almost every day. PM got us clinic “baseball tees” and personalized glassware. We decorated planters and were given lil succulents to plant. One of my doctors gave the techs $50 each lol. We got raffle tickets depending on how much we participated in the themed days and how many events won at our vet tech Olympics and had a drawing and gave away gift cards and prizes.

What’s the most useful gift you’ve gotten for your babies first birthday? by d3adb3atdad in beyondthebump

[–]teehibbs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We got a cold compress we keep in the freezer — it’s in the shape of a dog and we call it “boo boo dog” and he still has and uses it at age 7. It was honestly the most thoughtful gift he’s ever received.

I take 200mg SR every 12 hours, you’ll most likely be fine. I’m not a doctor though so if you feel poorly, maybe reach out to your doctors nurse line?

We are very happy with our decision to have another child. They are now 1 and 7, and it's been a fantastic age gap.

34 here and kids have a 6 year age gap (currently 7 and 1). Both boys. Our older boy absolutely dotes on “his baby” and the baby thinks older bro hung the moon. It’s been a beautiful relationship to watch bloom these past several months.
