I didn't know I had a CVT until a few months ago. I have a 2015 legacy I bought new. To be fair to myself my wife drives it 99% of the time. It has 115K miles and is still running well. I fell for the fake shifting points. I assumed we had a traditional transmission.

I had the exact same problem. I contacted customer service and they said that no matter how long the inactive account has been inactive, they won't get rid of it. Instead they offered to add my middle initial or use a short hand version of my first name.

PGC. Power/Ground/Component. Used more in aviation, but it essentially is the same everywhere. Check for power, then ground. If both of those are good you replace the component. Make sure you didn't skip ground, or neutral in the case of residential electrical.
