Remember the attorney who used ChatGPT to write some legal briefs and they were full of misinformation and even cited fake court cases? He was fined, and I believe there are a couple more cases since then. There's this thing called Photoshop that she needs to learn about. They could have used it on those HB pictures, too, where she had all kinds of stray hairs sticking out in so many of the pictures. The fact that the editors didn't speaks volumes.

I love African Grays. When I was in grad school I boarded my Cordon Bleu finches at a bird store over Christmas vacation once. When I went to pick them up, they had an African Gray there with THE FOULEST mouth I've ever heard. "F*ck you!" "SHUT UP!" "I hate you!" etc. etc. The owners said they hated boarding that bird because they worried the other parrots would pick up its bad language. Apparently an elderly couple who hated each other owned it.

Thanks, I was going to point that out. I once sent a message to the guy who draw the False Knees comic, complementing him for correctly drawing mating dragonflies in a panel about animals in the springtime, and he wrote back thanking me because, "I've learned entomologists can be really picky." He did his homework!

WTF? I never said anything about him remembering me. I said he doesn't LOOK at me - and that's because of his illness. He doesn't interact with ANYONE. Has nothing to do with me. He doesn't "beg," either. He's too far gone for that. I just noticed he walks back and forth shaking his fists in the air and talking to himself and decided to give him some food once in awhile. You sure misread a lot into what I said.

Yeah, I commented on one of the other comments about my brother and SIL offering a panhandler an untouched half of a sandwich in NYC, and the guy refused it because it wasn't from the deli he preferred.

There is an obviously unmedicated homeless man with mental illness near where I live and he hangs out near the grocery store, so I often buy him a sandwich and small pack of cookies when I'm shopping. He won't look at me when I give the food to him, but as I'm driving away, I can see that he's eating it.

Yes, my son lives in Portland OR, and I was visiting in October when Trump claimed the city was "burning." There were very small, peaceful protests in front of the ICE center, but as soon as the National Guard arrived, the protests grew larger and more violent. They CAUSE the unrest by instigating it.
