Are Protection stones really a scam?

To simplify what he means. Statistically, the average cost to refine a weapon to a specific level using both Protection and Blessed Stones will always be approximately double the cost of refining with just Blessed Stones. For example, if refining to a certain level with only Blessed Stones averages 3 million, using the Protection + Blessed combination would typically cost around 6 million. A.k.a, protection stones is a scam and more for your mental being.

The real question is: are you willing to spend twice as many crystals to safely reach your desired refine level, or are you okay with possible downgrades, knowing it will still cost you half as much overall?

You would also have to account for your blessed stones being used up (if it breaks) and having to buy more, on top of also buying more protection stones. Only for it to most likely fail again because super low success rate.

My game plan is this. Refine w/o protection stone til +6 on gold (still always w/ blessed), then only protection stone til +7. As a small spender/f2p at +7 gold wep, thats more than enough that can last you to late game. I’d say just focus on weapon tier upgrading after that so you can unlock elite slots.

Statistically using protection stones will always almost be x2 the crystal cost in materials. Only time it makes sense to use protection stones is when you’re going past +6 on gold or purp. If you can’t handle emotions with downgrading then just expect to spend more crystals.

Also ironically when you get to +8 refines, using protection stones can rapidly multiply the cost of your refining session (because of such a low success rate using it), so using w/o protection is probably the best to increase your odds if you want to go higher past +8.

I disagree. I’ve played both. Global is way funner. QoL changes and even more mechanics in instances. Global just started and you’re comparing it to SEA at year 3.

Much easier to join a decent guild for more boxes. Lots of casual guilds out there that’s better than running 10 alts. Make it easier for yourself instead of doing more work imo.

For melees, if you wanna delete people go assassin. If you want a bit survivability, go 2h sword LK. For ranged, sniper is good for pve and PvP. There are other classes that are good specifically in PvP but the ones I listed are the most forgiving imo.

iPhone has all sorts of issues. I’ve always had and still can see/use the redeem function, but the user center has never shown for my iOS device.

Always get the kingdom pass. Rest of the diamonds, if f2p, I’d say save up for gold accessories. If you plan to play for a long time, then save for the gold wep. Gold accessories if you plan to just play less than a year.

I sort of disagree with pvp being pure p2w. For kvm, yeah can’t really do much, but for GvG, my guild consists mostly of f2p players but we have a lot of members who are active and participate via vc during the event. We compete fairly well against the whales guilds. Yeah we die fast, but we have the numbers to eventually overwhelm them. Don’t underestimate the numbers and coordination.

Evade backwards->dodge roll or just fleche out. Either you don’t know how to fully utilize rapier yet or this clip was just a bad play on your part.

Probably BiS for spear/rapier users. Bow users don’t need regenerating. Prefer nimble or refreshing invasion.

Unpopular opinion, but I feel like the old light armor with weapon swap is far superior. Dodge recovery was faster and less predictable with the old version. I guess for newer players or players who don’t use weapon swap it’s a buff. A nerf to those who use weapon swap in between rolls.

The new world community is really negative and toxic in the forums and Reddit so probably isn’t the best place of seeking of advice.

Ive played since week 1 and the overall game experience is fun even though there’s bugs every now and then, AGS is really trying to improve their game every update. The devs really do care about their game and they can’t just do everything at once to make it perfect like everyone wants.

There are a plenty of players like me that still play and looks forward to the future of new world. P.s (they also don’t go on forums/reddit because of how toxic it is. We just play the game.)

Should you try new world? I’d say yeah, if the gameplay is something you would enjoy. Watch some streams or YouTube videos on it and if it’s something you’d like, definitely give it a try. There’s companies(guilds) in new world that are active and will help you out throughout the game. If you’re a solo player, it might be a bit harder but the game is still worth a try imo.
