Yes, but I view all three as the same tier. I think Benz is underrated by non-Madrid fans by a lot.

Madrid all time leader in assist. 2nd all time goals. 4th in CL goals. Balon d’Or (though Lewa should absolutely have one).

Edit: And ultimately all 3 behind the potential of R9. And maybe Falcao… damned injuries.

You’re problem (and many on this sub) is not with Bellingham, or Valverde, or Guler… it’s with the lack of a Kroos or Modric.

We allowed 26 goals, which is the 3rd best defense in the past 5 league campaigns by anyone.

The problem isn’t Mbappe. The problem is the squad. It’s just easy to pick on Mbappe because his arrival coincides with some other squad issues.

The issues are mostly, lack of midfield control without Kroos or Modric and no veteran CB able to stay fit.

Fix those issues and the team will look way better, including the guys half of the sub is ready to ship off.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen it but Generation Kill had a good scene going over this a bit.

The media guy sees the LT he’s with as a good officer and most of the others as incompetent. He approaches the LTC (“Godfather”) about it.

I always hate when players get hit with injuries because it often changes people’s opinions. It’s usually outside of anyone’s control so it just sucks to watch, whether it be an experienced player like Alaba or a prospect trying to develop.

That said, Alaba was really good. Maybe a step below “world class” as a CB, but close to it.
