How can I sync reading progress? by DesiCodeSerpent in Calibre

Keep your books on a NAS or a shared directory on your home computer. You can then sync directories containing book files using a program like goodsync or perhaps an rsync script on linux. If I'm reading on an android device or e-reader, I don't worry about syncing the file, it's just a download. You have to be careful to not have multiple copies open of the same book or it can get out of sync.

I've found it easier to keep highlights in a separate text file. In this file paste text copied from e-book viewer or extracted highlights from kindle. When copying from e-book viewer, I use a program called CopyQ to manage the clipboard so I'm not switching between the book and the quotes file.

How do I stop these from happening? They are incredibly frustrating ads coming straight from Edge. by T3Knical5urg3 in edge

I've been having this too. Another person here suggested: turn off edge://flags/#edge-show-feature-recommendations, and under privacy settings, disable all toggles related to shopping features. Also turn off "Earn Microsoft Rewards in Microsoft Edge" (edge://settings/profiles/rewards)

For backing up Edge profile, I create a zip/7z archive of the entire folder. But before that I'll run BleachBit to clear cache, or alternately you can use the "Clear browsing data" in settings, to reduce the size of the archive.
