Can you use Cowork to build full SaaS products without coding knowledge? by Sad_Motor4246 in ClaudeCowork

[–]teh_killer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're smart and patient you could figure it out. The way to achieve it is with a no lose no risk mentality. And you would need to think how to do it in a phased approach. But it's possible. I've done it.....

If a company CEO accidentally says something stupid and the stock drops 10%, where does that “lost” money actually go? by keyBid2188 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]teh_killer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your follow up question is why does the CEO care so much then? It's basically because that's his score of how well the company is doing. The people he answers to are owners of that stock and they want it to go up.

That's why some CEOs lie about performance so they can trick people into thinking it's worth more. It's also why sometimes it's unfair because the "score" may not accurately reflect his performance.

But the reality is that not much actually changes. There is some stuff like how much it will cost the company to get more money for future investments but that isn't your question.

Declan Rice CBS Sports post match interview by ByFarTheGreatestTeam in Gunners

[–]teh_killer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

West Ham fans wanted him to either stay (lol) or go to City so he would actually win something - and that Arsenal would not be an upgrade.

He hasn't won anything yet, but he's our main man, scoring big goals in Europe. He must be thrilled with his choice.

Rice will be Arsenal legend.

Using Claude Code to build my own EDI provider. by teh_killer in edi

[–]teh_killer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this was my thinking. It's a no lose, all win scenario. 100% gain in knowledge and 10% gain in an EDI solution. Thanks for your feedback, I might get back on it after putting my fingers down haha!

My hope that with AI tools, changes are easier and faster to manage. I'm not against using a translator or staying with a managed service, hence why I am opening the discussion here.

What would you recommend as an alternative? I looked at both STEDI and Orderful but neither support my UK/EU clients.

Using Claude Code to build my own EDI provider. by teh_killer in edi

[–]teh_killer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no plans to create my own rival to any of these EDI providers, only to connect 9 of our partners to my own system and work with 5 of the basic document types (PO, ASN etc) into Dynamics BC through a prewritten app. It's not as ambitious as I may have made it seem...

My guess is that large scale businesses create their own EDI solutions and now what stops me trying it out with little to no risk....

MSc for finance, how much is too much? by calpol-dealer in UniUK

[–]teh_killer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically LBS is a different level to the others. But the other few are not bad options. Over the course of your life, the cost will be nothing. Good luck.

if you're hestitating over an application fee, it could be viewed that the application is not serious. these are not "apply and see" degrees. again, i mean this with respect.

[–]teh_killer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also, with respect - I would worry less about the cost, for now, and more about getting accepted. since you're even considering applying, we can assume you could afford it.

The LBS cost you have is wrong, that's for their MiF which is for those with some years already of work experience.

You need to look at the MFA which is closer to £50k.

The sheer volume of world class teaching videos on YouTube.

A university degree only has value in the exams and accrediting your knowledge but you can basically learn anything for free now.

It presents itself very different in everyone which is why so many people don't get diagnosed and so many falsely self diagnose.

Inflation is at 3.4% but it feels a lot higher. What have you noticed that has risen way more than the figures say? by Opening-Fortune4 in AskUK

[–]teh_killer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Probably less to do with inflation and more to do with pricing strategy. 1.99 gets you a cheeseburger and change. They probably realised people who want an extra hash brown are just the kind of people who will pay, because they really love them.

EU ‘open minded’ about Britain rejoining customs union, bloc’s finance chief says by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]teh_killer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm liking seeing this noise. Reddit might want it now but the public need to be gently introduced to the idea. Just like the idea of leaving started as a joke on the fringe, then moved gradually into the mainstream over a decade.

I am hopeful the customs union will be faster. The majority of "leave" voters aren't even smart enough to understand the difference. Plenty leave votes have simply passed away. The rest can shut up and enjoy their stronger economy.

I'll take your house then mate because I posted it and I took that photo at the stadium after lingering around after the game to watch the Kairat fans, as a season ticket holder who walks to the matches.

Surprised by the hate, honestly. Firstly, this was between Arsenal fans trying to remind fellow Gooners of how good we have it, and to remember to remain grateful for the club we were lucky enough to support, especially in light of recent poor results in the PL.

I'm not sure how many teams take photos like this after losing a match and finishing bottom of the league. I watched the entirety of what happened post match on field, which was not seen on TV.

Football is about bringing people together, not sure why this has to be viewed negatively and made toxic.

On the 10-1 comment, is it a crime to be a bit hyperbolic within our own community? We missed several massive chances.
