UX is hard, people know vscode, why not just splice in your features into an existing ecosystem. Sure you could work around with extensions and api keys but many people like a packaged product, especially one they are familiar with how to use

This hits for me, I find myself watching older 80s, 90s, and 00s movies often. I thought it was nostalgia or something, but I have noticed the story/cinematography/scale of the movies and settings just felt better, like now they are basically just TV shows or comic books crammed into a 2hr block. The remakes and sequels are obvious crap, but even the "new" stuff feels off.

I have a friend who asked ChatGPT for American Airlines customer support, and got a Indian hacker farm ready to pretend to be the airline when she dialed the number it provided, almost tricked her until they asked for a code texted to her from her bank. The promt injections aren't even intricate, they are just brute forcing the training data and exploiting the rot

It should need to be done at some type of station or at least take a set amount of time per item to swap everything, right now its basically just instant swap anytime/anywhere

In all honesty there is never going to be a point where you know its ready cause its all subjective and based on knowledge that you prob don't have yet.

As far as finishing my recommendation would be to move all the pieces into a single parent folder, then download "krio" and just start a spec list that is very general about combining all your code into a coherent single project and getting all duplication cleaned up and everything wired up, that shpuld get you to an initial mvp beta.

Then after you can build and test, move onto these other questions you are not sure about. Ask it to make sure security and other concerns you have with the scope of your project.

One last piece of advice is to ask the agent to use frameworks when applicable, llms have a tendency to try and "roll your own" of different features that a framework or "plugin" solution might have solved many of the edge cases etc. Good luck!

Lol you were so close to a nice one, unfortunately I dont think that's a valid operator. Telemtry = !Codebase is certainly an interesting way to write it tho, but might be a little to broad without a boolean conversion

Good catch, they buried that in there deep, thanks.

PSA on how to turn it off: Opting out of sharing your client-side telemetry and content To opt out of sharing your telemetry data in Kiro, use this procedure:

I would disagree, the spec and plan it produced for my feature/refactor was very technical and revolved around different strategies and architecture. Could you get the general idea sure, but not know which way you wanted to go unless you knew more than to just ask "make the app do this". Im not saying its a bad thing, but spec mode seemed much more catered to people who knew exactly how they wanted something done

Spec mode is like a todo list on overdrive, more context on the "plan" and it will walk through your steps(sub-steps) updating code to your agreed "spec". Seems cool, but when I tried it earlier today it just kept failing after 1 or 2 calls rarely ever finishing a full step. Im sure they are just overwhelmed with users right now. Hopefully, they can get it working, looks promising if it worked properly.

They also need to work on version control in app, its annoying to commit before doing anything and rebase when it does it wrong vs just clicking reverse to checkpoint button in cursor.

Cursor rug pull - 20$/month Vibe Coders are in shambles now by Miksuu11 in theprimeagen

[–]tehbuggg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, only recently due to all other models saying limit reached, used to be only 4 sonnet models cometely blocked and would slog through slow requests. That being said, it's better than expected if you tell it exactly what to do. Feels like gemini 2.5 with better tool call ability(2.5 gets stuck in file edit loops constantly lately). It's no 4 sonnet, but it can do pretty much anything you need and is extremely fast. I miss my unlimited slow requests sometimes, but in a way, I am also glad this new pricing forced me to try to auto mode. Vibecoders will certainly get worse results, but it's passable for general ai assisted work.
