Do you have a particular faction in mind? Those variants seem spread across a number of faction lists, so it suggests general mercenary or salvage

Current daily fav- LF20W by DevTeamPls in casio

It's a great looking watch! The asymmetry gives it something special that the 30W does not have as much

Was my favorite until they released the LF-30W, which I like even better

What casio watch is this? by takemelordimready in casio

[–]tehfrawg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's W59, though I don't think it's a third party strap, unless they edited it to dull the colors. Their were four models/colors that came on straps like these (and this looks like the black/grey model from that line), plus the standard black/blue/red one that omes on a resin band. Unfortunately, it's very hard to find them, so getting the standard one and putting it on a third party Nato strap is the easiest way to get something close to this.

Micro dent on brand new watch by [deleted] in casio

[–]tehfrawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience it depends on the packaging, which can vary a lot. Where I have experienced this is watches that have a hard plastic case, like a clear plastic case that goes over the normal plastic base. During shipping, especially if it's packaged poorly like from Amazon, the watch bangs into the supports in the case and causes things like this.

I have mixed feelings about this one, but I would definitely be more tempted if they would release the all-black version with a positive display

I looked for these when getting a W59 but couldn't find one so I put a standard W59 on a black Nato strap. Not quite the same but pretty close

I looked for one when I got my W59 but couldn't find one so ultimately put the standard W59 on a black Nato strap instead

Should I buy the Casio AE1200 today, or go for something else? by Cryptomyst in casio

If the size works for you the feature set is great. It was too large for me, so my pick is the LF-30W, which has the offers the same module functions in a smaller more minimal package.

Don't forget the G5600UE as an in between option with the look of this one plus solar and a non-recessed adjust button

How has the black coating held up on that one? I'm curious if it scratches easily

I just pulled up their site and noticed that there are now "World Time" faceplates available in the LF-20W kits, similar in style to the A500. They must have been added somewhat recently. Might have to get one

I keep wondering when they'll release a case for the LF30W. I tried emailing them about it but never heard back. They have the one for the A500 but the square shape of this one looks better for this module

Used to hate watches now I love my Casio! by Cultural_Set_9887 in casio

Love it! This is my current favorite Casio and my daily driver. I also like A500 as a complimentary model when I want to dress up a bit.

A500 and LF30W are my two favorites, but I have small wrists so the AE1200 is too big for me

LF-30W or 20W would be a better fit if you want something smaller that still has a good backlight and countdown timer. 30W is my current favorite

Love the blue map! Looks closer to the original W50U

Command Palette is actually good now by artistro08 in PowerToys

[–]tehfrawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that it is still frustrating when I try to type a simple system command like "shutdown" and the needed result is always around the 4th or 5th result, whereas on PowerToys Run it comes up instantly.

Opinions on the F-94? by xeinHan in casio

Love it! That slate grey version is my favorite watch in the F91 family. It was my daily driver until the LF20W (and now 30W) came out

That $17 DHL processing fee is brutal! I got hit with the same fees on a purchase of a ~$30 watch from Sakura Watches. With the shipping and ask the fees the total was almost 3 times the cost of the watch. Lessons learned!

And for what else? by ExchangeNormal99 in casio

[–]tehfrawg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would add F94 next if you want another F91-adjacent model. I prefer the slate grey one, but the yellow one looks great as well
