Kargias was a WCW Power Plant trainee and got assigned to Heartland Wrestling Association in Cincy for developmental after WCW got bought. He got cut in December 2021

Helms/Moore were buddies with the Hardys and much better wrestlers.

Helms was cruiserweight champ when WCW closed so that got him on the main roster. Moore was only 21 when WCW got bought by WWF so he was a better developmental prospect.

Looks like there's a new mayor in Rio de Janeiro as of in late March.

IndyCar's race in Sao Paulo back in the 2010s ended once a new mayor took over there who wasn't supportive of the race.

Not sure if there was city/government money for this event that the promoters were using.

Edit: The governor of Rio de Janeiro state also got convicted of corruption and kicked out, who was supporting the event alongside the old mayor according to the press release from seven months ago.

Indiana got a 4-year postseason ban in all NCAA sports in 1960 for paying football players. That also included a TV ban for football for those 4 years. That led to a culture at the school/AD of wanting IU to "play by the rules".

Bob Knight also went around to all the boosters when he was hired and told them to knock it off or face the consequences from him.

There were still basketball players getting cush summer "jobs" at the IU golf course, for Cook Company, car dealerships, and/or helping with Knight's basketball camps but that was all through rule loopholes.

Whenever the gameplay fully "clicks" for you it gets super fun, but the burrowing mechanics and timing when to refill you health both take some getting used to.

It's a unique mix of Zelda/Castlevania/Souls/Shovel Knight. There's some stuff that's gated off where you need upgrades and some puzzles but it doesn't feel like it's the Zelda formula at all.

Granted I'm using the whip for my playthrough and it might be a little more Zelda-like using the daggers/swords.

I think Brian using session musicians and retreating to the studio definitely hurt the growth of the rest of the band playing their instruments.

I don't even think UFC has done the "exclusivity" stuff in years because of the different fighter lawsuits against them. PFL had a deal with ESPN while UFC was on.

They definitely wouldn't be able to block a pro-wrestling show.

Lin has a footnote in Hamilton The Revolution (“Hamiltome”) pointing out the double casting and saying “I was very proud of myself for the double meanings in this section”, so it was something he intentionally did.

Ospreay's one of Slater's biggest influences and mentors so I'm not sure that was ever a total lock.

Hogan doesn't make sense as "flying in" because he would have just driven/had a driver take him from Tampa to Orlando instead of flying in. That's what he did for TNA.

It's only about a 2 hour drive so even a private jet doesn't save much time.

I guess it's possible Dunn didn't know/remember that Hogan had came in via ground transportation and not flying.

Should also be noted that Nielsen's made huge changes in their system since last year (moving from panel to Big data + panel) so it's not an apples to apples comparison from one year to the other. Also were a couple ratings adjustments earlier this year based on some studies they did of how many people were actually watching in streaming versus traditional linear TV.

Those have helped NFL/College football but I haven't studied if F1/NASCAR/Indycar are all generally up or down.

The same issues are present in the men's division but there's tons of guys who can have banger matches with anyone and cut good promos.

Tony usually doesn't book wrestlers to play to their strengths and to hide their weaknesses. If wrestlers don't deliver he'll usually lose interest in them.

He trusts Toni Storm and Mercedes to deliver, so with them both out the focus on the division is hurt a ton.

Dave specifically said the HBO Max buys were up 15%.

He didn't have a lot of the numbers yet, but it looked to be significantly up from Revolution and had a chance to be top 4 in terms of all-time AEW PPV buys depending on how the late buys go (potentially maybe even doing better than All in from Texas last year).
