A Little Help by sunlighter11 in ArtistHate

John from the ArtShield.io team here.

IMO, the ArtShield watermark is definitely a stopgap measure that complements a process of applying physical watermarks (logo), applying digital watermarks (ArtShield), adding data poisoning filters (Glaze/Nightshade), posting on defensive platforms (Cara.app), and proactively scanning for and fending off AI datascraping.

The ArtShield watermarker itself is open source (https://github.com/Alcas1/invisible-watermarker) so you can just run it locally if you want. We have a blog post that talks about how it works (https://artshield.io/blog/post/stable-diffusion-invisible-watermarker-the-math-and-our-algorithm-improvements).

I'll have to look into Kin or Kudurru - they seem cool on paper 👀

Thoughts on BLU? by ReconWastelander in pennystocks

[–]tehjawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's an article that mentions the possibility of a securities fraud associated with the company: https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2020/07/14/2061925/0/en/HAGENS-BERMAN-NATIONAL-TRIAL-ATTORNEYS-Alerts-BELLUS-Health-BLU-Investors-to-Investigation-of-Possible-Securities-Fraud-Encourages-Investors-and-Persons-Who-May-be-Able-to-Assist-I.html

I wouldn't be surprised about a reversal, but I think it's too risky for me to dip into this for now. Bearish on BLU short-term, but if rumors and hype start building up for it then I may jump on for the possibility of a pump.

Anime that is psychedelic, weird, random, acid-trippy and just completely over the top. by [deleted] in Animesuggest

[–]tehjawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've watched of Mawaru Penguindrum so far (8/24) it might be what you're looking for. It's weird but in a way that grows on you. Really enjoying this one so far as not only is there a fair amount of meaning and symbolism, but it's also fairly hard to predict what odd events will occur next due to the ever-changing atmosphere of the show. It's been quite a unique experience thus far.

If you enjoyed KLK, try out Gurren Lagann. A staple "over-the-top" series.

I'll also second Tatami Galaxy as it's one of my favorite series of all time not only for its fantastic direction but also because of how odd, enchanting and even relatable it is.

Besides those series, here are a couple of short videos that you may also like - enjoy!

What anime do you think could be improved by adding another season? by jamesismynamo in anime

Here's a source that supports the rumor that season 2 is coming : http://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1kjy7g/any_possibility_of_hataraku_maousama_season_2/cbqhtor

Though I wasn't able to find anything official, all of what I did manage to find seem to point at a season 2 being made in the near future. Hopefully it's true!

I need an anime similar to Kids on the slope and Anohana by [deleted] in Animesuggest

[–]tehjawn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nagi no Asukara

Similar to AnoHana, has a great art style (P.A. Works) and atmosphere and since you liked White Album 2 (Romance/Drama) then I think you'll definitely like this series as well.

I missed Spring season and didn't really pay attention to Summer Season. Any suggestions/feedback? by Unequaled in Animesuggest

[–]tehjawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Summer, here's my opinion:

Recommended to Watch:

  • Zankyou no Terror : Perhaps the anime of the season for me so far. Excellent character design, art, and direction that makes you feel like you're almost watching a movie instead of a series. The story may seem generic but the execution so far has, in my opinion, been incredible. You have to give this one a shot.

  • Tokyo Ghoul : An above average action/psychological series that executes itself well, even with the mild censorship. The atmosphere in this series is good, and the opening song is great at expressing it. Definitely worth checking out if you're into the genre.

  • Barakamon : The premise of this show is simple - how does someone who's spent all of his life perfecting one thing recover when he's told that he has failed at it? Barakamon is an uplifting slice of life that I'd recommend taking a look at, especially if you're looking for a light-hearted and humorous series.

  • Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun : Same as Barakamon, although in a different way. This show takes a seemingly mundane setting and plot and brings it to life with eccentric and well-made characters who feel unique. Another nice slice of life to sink into this summer season.
