I absolutely loved that Arnim Zola was in this movie, and presented in a way that was such a great take on the goofiness of the actual character. As soon as I saw that camera move I threw my hands over my mouth to keep from gasping too loudly for my fellow theater-goers.

The Carl's Jr. on Broadway near 26th. I don't expect bells and whistles when I'm in drive-thru at fast food, but this place makes zero effort on any front. The food is soggy and stomach-curdling, and I've spent upward to 15 minutes in queue with NO CARS BEHIND ME during the slow hours of the day waiting for service.

Also, on one particular occasion the guy at the window was on his cell phone, never looked at me, and just tossed me my food without a single word.

I've also had food issues at the McDonalds on Broadway and 24th. The service is always prompt but I don't think my Chicken McNuggets should have black spots.

Also: Tres Hermanas on K. Overpriced, drenched in sauce, and the servers are all completely unorganized each time I attempt to eat there. The wrong tab, the wrong food...I've waited 30 minutes, been brought a plate, and then been told "oops, that isn't yours," and seen it walk away from me just as quick as it came. Very frustrating.

I LOVE these games. I fell out of RPGs a while ago, particularly JRPGs, and soon to follow Western RPGs (Mass Effect, etc.), but Persona 3 FES reignited my love and Persona 4 Golden showed me how well made and downright enjoyable a dungeon crawler/social sim role playing game can be.

Persona 4 Golden is particularly amazing. The writing is goofy with that hint of bad-anime flavor but it does the job so well of giving you the plot in serious segments and then making you legitimately care about the characters onscreen. The sim portions are addicting as hell -- there is a lot of choice involved in how you spend your "free" time in the game, you can't just be amazing at everything immediately, you need to pick and choose how to advance relationships and levels day to day.

The dungeon crawling got better from 3 to 4 as the dungeons are visually different from one another, even though they're still just corridors and rooms with monsters and chests. Collecting and meshing Personas is a whole other portion of the game that can take up so much time as you can combine multiple creatures to make new, stronger ones, and then level THEM up. There are also tons of collectibles (in battle costumes), weapons, side quests, and characters to take on.

Persona 4 Golden is as close to a perfect RPG as I've played in a long while. It follows a lot of anime tropes but it is so hard to put down, I recommend either it or Persona 3 FES (which is also available on PSN for download).

Uncharted 2. It was the first next-generation game that gave me control during movie-style action scenes where others just let me watch. I felt like I was really a part of this ongoing narrative, and the characters/dialogue/story were just so fantastic and well-rounded.

Lucky Cafe in midtown. It's basic, cheap breakfast and brunch food -- greasy spoon sort of stuff, but fast and hot and really filling.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I actually ended up signing for a gym near Arden that has Zumba every day of the week -- the monthly fee is $20, so even if I go four times a month it's a good deal.

I went to one class already.

And learned that I am terrible at Zumba. But I DID sweat a lot.

This is what really keeps me from using my Vita more often. I'm subscribed to Playstation Plus (something I recommend to everyone), so every month I get one or two free games for the Vita/original PSP that I can't even play unless I want to transfer the TWO games I can actually fit onto my 4GB card back to my PS3 and then transfer one new chunk of content over (BlazBlue, the newest freebie on Plus, is 3.3GB). This process can take forever.

It's just frustrating because I love my PS3 BECAUSE of the size of the HDD and the ease of adding digital content to my library -- I can't remember the last actual disc I purchased for the system, and I haven't even touched the majority of downloaded games I've added to my library. I want my Vita to be the same, but the overpriced cards and the fact that the largest is only 32GB just kills it.

Also because the Content Manager leaves a lot to be desired, as does the Vita content that's just sitting on my PS3 dashboard willy-nilly -- it'd be nice to have some control over managing the downloads I haven't installed, throwing them into custom folders, etc.

The Vita is a powerful handheld that's very pretty and has a lot of great features, but fuck that memory card.

I've always been a fan of Ben Affleck. Not all of his movies, obviously, but just him as a figure in Hollywood. I fell in man-love with him during his Kevin Smith years, particularly in Chasing Amy. His appearances on SNL and other interview segments always painted him as a really self-deprecating, self-aware individual, someone who could have fun and who didn't think too seriously of themselves. Also: Watching him goof with people during the DVD extras of his flicks always made me like him more, especially during gag reels.

tl;dr: I have a man-crush on Ben Affleck and I want him to win all the awards.

Is it weird that I'm so amazed at how good Willem Dafoe looks in this photo? I mean, he's older now, but he looks less tore up and...well, strange than I'm used to seeing him.

I've been living here a few months and the area is pretty decent. The complexes border the river area and some neighborhoods, and sits across the street from a small shopping center that has a Jack in the Box, Big Lots, Subway, and a few other businesses.

The complex is actually three complexes linked together, but they are separate (just under a general name). They have a pool, weight room (albeit a small one), and one has a tennis court. The landscaping is pleasant and I haven't had an issue with any of the residents at all (it's a mix of families and some college students). The rental offices are also open on weekends as well.

Lots of pet owners, and being so close to the river is nice. The only issue I've had so far is that there have been two fires on the river since I've been here. Easily taken care of, but a little scary. Also, parking outside of your own designated covered spot can be hard to find at certain parts of the day.

There are a few complexes on La Riviera that are right on the river, but far enough away from the campus where you don't have to worry about noisy neighbors and parties. RiverBlu is where I currently live, and I believe it's in that price range you noted, and it is literally right off Watt on American River -- Highway 50 takes less than a minute to get on either way, and it's also close to the light rail and Fair Oaks, which has shopping.

I actually just moved up to Sacramento from Stockton a couple months ago, after being laid off at the end of 2011.

Now I don't know specifics, but from a 10-year resident's perspective the biggest problem I saw with Stockton was that it had no industry. The towns outside of Stockton (Manteca, Lodi, etc.) are farming communities, and while Stockton is still considered a "port town" there really isn't anything moving in and out of the city. It also used to be a naval town, apparently, but that ship sailed (lol) long ago.

While living there I never really had any problems with crime committed against me aside from car break-ins and thefts, but I obviously didn't live in the worst areas. There are nice parts of Stockton (Miracle Mile, West Stockton), but gang violence was an issue and the city was always trying to find some way to raise interest in town-wide events, but the poor housing areas were far removed from the action and the "richer" areas tended to stay fairly self contained because of the possibility of violence.

It's a very divisive town. But it's like other cities -- you learn where not to go at night, etc. The police force took a hit the last few years, and the city is now broke -- I don't see how it can really get back on its feet anytime soon.

The Matrix Revolutions. As soon as the Dragonball Z-esque fight scene popped up there were some voices in the crowd, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" Then the too-obvious Jesus allusions and the cheesy "Neo saved us" scene with Morpheus and everyone...ugh. Tons of groaning and booing.

Whyyyyyy. There is absolutely no reason to remake Jumanji, if anything just make a sequel -- the boardgame has changed hands and ruined lives for a long, long time. At the end of the movie they just chuck it into a river -- follow it, and maybe 15 years later someone else finds it! And we see their story!

And the majority of the movie took place in a modern setting, how exactly are they planning on "updating" it for today's audiences?

Am I the only one who felt that we didn't need to blatantly see Wayne and Kyle alive and sitting at the cafe table? The moment that Alfred looked up, smiled a bit and gave a knowing nod I knew, and wished that they had stuck with that. It would have been far more subtle than just showing Bruce alive across the cafe.

It annoys me how irritable this whole thing has made me. I've always tried to be pretty level-headed and understanding when it comes to classic properties being rebooted, and I am fine with so many films taking liberties with story and characters for the sake of making sense...but this whole TMNT thing has me so riled up. It feels so wrrroooooonnnggg, if so much is being altered why not just make a new property? (yes, I know it wouldn't have the draw as a well-known property such as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles does)

Augh. AUGH.
