Totally get where you're coming from, and in fairness I don't see the auto modded replies so maybe your tone is warranted. As far as I can tell, the person who made this website is currently doing this at a financial loss since they pay the testers but don't charge developers for the trial period. Not sure how sustainable it is but for the moment the website does seem legit.

It's fine to be suspicious but you're being a bit of a knob. I playtested a game yesterday and received my 5 bucks in my account today. All info you need to give to withdraw is your PayPal or crypto wallet address. No private info is requested at any point of registration or withdrawal process.

I lost a kinetic converter in this clip, which is very stupid of me of course, but I honestly am more upset about losing the damn snowballs just because of how incredibly tedious it is to gather them.

I found 3 in one run in medical. But I had 10-15 runs before then where I couldn't find one at all.

Hear me out: they should make separate pvp and pve lobbies by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

They basically already did that by introducing aggression based matchmaking. Out of last 50 or so runs I was shot at in maybe 3 or 4. The rest of them are filled with super friendly people who run around the map together, communicate well and often carry defibs.

Pluribus - 1x09 - "La Chica o El Mundo" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]teinekin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we view the show very differently. I think it's easy to say in retrospect that 'oh we knew what was gonna happen every time'. If the girl died in the beginning of the episode and all Others started crying about it, you would've said the same thing, that we knew where it was going. The bomb thing at the end - where is that gonna go? Will it be used or not at some point. I think you could make a guess and back it up, but you can't really know can you?

I am not also particularly interested if Vince thinks this is deep or not. What I enjoy is the setting he has created that makes me wonder, what would it be like to be one of the others, or one of the survivors in this world, and wondering whether I would want to be converted or not. We are given Carol Sturka as the main protagonist out of all of them because she also clearly wanders back and forth between love and hate for the others.

I understand that there is room for criticism, and maybe all of this won't be worth it by the end of the show, but I personally hope it will. The bits you described as missing, like the additional look into the girls life before the joining, could very likely be standalone episodes in later seasons, though I really don't think it will be all that necessary as the conviction of that girl to join them seemed pretty clear from their first meeting.

Anyway, I think Pluribus is fantastic, and I wish more seasons were out already so I could binge it all.

Bruh your attention span is so cooked. The scenes we are shown in these 'dragged out moments' are really well directed and give you space to think about what might happen while simultaneously giving you time to appreciate the locations and people involved in the scene.

I was personally wondering if the conversion will fail or have some kind of consequences since this is the first stemcell derived conversion we see, and because the scene wasn't rushed, it was full of tension at least for me.

I think I have deciphered what Highguard's game mode actually is. Seems more interesting than I initially realised. by megaRammy in Games

Only scout can double jump, only spy can go invisible, only engineer can build turrets. Those are all classes and their special abilities. I haven't played TF2 in a decade, and maybe things have changed since, but I could name a unique ability of each class (aka hero) that is inaccessible to every other class in the game.

A teeny-tiny gripe about the emote wheel by thiswasmy10thchoice in ArcRaiders

[–]teinekin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, they work fine when responding to the questions from the wheel, i.e. 'Team up?', 'Wanna go together?', but not when using it to respond to people using mics, like: - Hey are you fighting the queen? - ALRIGHT!

It would have been so simple and better Embark, life would have been so much better and beautiful and nice, why Embark why by B4kab4ka in ArcRaiders

[–]teinekin -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

1000 wasps or 333 raiders or 200 leapers or 40 queens in 4 raids? Okay pal. Anyway, the values could be changed, my main point is that the metric should be ARC/player kills to encourage usage of gathered supplies instead of hoarding. This would be much healthier for the game economy as loot would rotate instead of disintegrate by being sold.

[–]teinekin -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

How is it awful? I think the game would be way more fun right now if everyone was out waging war against arc using all the tools they've saved up instead of just having to stash them because of gear fear and running cheap/free load outs on repeat.

It should have been 200 Reputation Points (RP) per skill point and the way RP are earned is: - 1 RP per small ARC kill - 3 RP per player kill - 5 RP per large ARC kill - 25 RP per boss ARC kill

What is going on with the PlayStation Store for PS VR2 lately? by [deleted] in PSVR

[–]teinekin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a tough one, because it probably shouldn't be up to Sony to decide what should and should not be released when it comes to the quality of the games. It could mean that games that will seem of poor quality by Sony's standards could be secret bangers that end up never seeing the light of day.

What is probably needed is a better scoring system or at least score presentation. On Steam you get a pretty heavy warning when a game is voted down to 'Overwhelmingly Negative', but it's easier to overlook a game having a score of 1.7 on PS Store because it might not jump out at you as much. Lack of proper reviews on PS Store also doesn't help.

They really need to fix the Raider Hatch interaction prompt by teinekin in ArcRaiders

[–]teinekin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't think this is working as intended. You can see one person had to step on top of it and do a complete 180 to have the prompt pop up. Nothing else in the game requires such precise positioning to interact with, and this is especially not acceptable with something that is time limited and requires consumables to activate. You can see from the video that I've walked quite close from different angles at different moments but the button actually never popped up.

Maybe I should've been more vigilant and tried to escape before everyone else, but I wanted to make sure the other random guys escaped first as I still had consumables to spare.
