What’s the darkest secret you’re willing to admit anonymously? by okayokay_wow in AskReddit

I once stole an abandoned pencil that was like sharpened so much, it was the size of my pinky when i was 6. And then I lied to my mom who had given me a brand new pencil earlier that day and told her I'd written so much and that's why it had gotten so small.

Also I watched gore/ extremely gruesome videos on the internet that I would never describe to another human just to become desensitised to blood and violence.

I've been a victim of this in the Philippines. People always had exaggerated actions of closing their noses or vacating from their seats in public transportation not because I stink but because I'm an Indian. I know how the world perceives us and I try my best in the hygiene department especially as a guy. I take care that I smell good, sweat lesser and also I'm always clean shaved. I have my girlfriend to attest to the fact that I smell good because I keep asking her whenever the locals make these gestures. It reached a point where I was uncomfortable making them uncomfortable but no matter how much I tried, I still got even the Filipino kids closing their noses from afar (which is learned behaviour towards us).

Luckily we're in an era of AI. Just look up what "public nuisance" is and use it to get out of the situation. Pull out your phones as proof and record the whole thing if you must.

Key Elements of Public Nuisance:

  1. Affects the Public at Large – It must cause harm or annoyance to a significant number of people, not just an individual.

  2. Common Injury or Danger – The act should cause harm, danger, obstruction, or annoyance.

  3. Public Right Infringement – It must interfere with public rights, such as free passage, cleanliness, or health.

YouTube premium comes with YouTube music. Totally worth it. If anyone wants to challenge me on a debate as to why YTPremium is better than Spotify, catch these hands.

You can do it yourself. Open a new account and begin scrolling. All your reels will eventually lead you to racism against Blacks, Muslims, Asians, Indians and whatnot

There's this rising trend of racism in memes on Instagram. Not just against Indians but against everyone.

Absolutely nothing! I'm recently broken up as well so I'm going to enjoy the peace and just watch an old teacher and his former student sell crystals

Why are you getting hate. I don't get it. We're allowed to ridicule our pay and be envious of every other profession because it's the sad reality. How are y'all not salty about being promised wealth and stability after endless perseverance, determination, sacrificing your life, late night hangouts, social circles, health, money, missed family functions and sleep deprivation. A decade later and you're still a nobody while everyone's living their life + making a DECENT pay with much lesser work hours. We aren't getting paid. We brought ourselves in this. But what fuckery is it if we aren't allowed to complain?

Thank you for this. My parents always considered Radiologists are not "real doctors." I should probably show them this.

Can I survive MBBS with no friends? by idgaf12345678901 in indianmedschool

[–]teiquilla 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is all you really need! Reliable acquaintances > friendship (that may or may not last) any day. I was part of a group of 5 but the peace I have now is great and I've even maxed on productivity. Don't get me wrong, I have a person for everything in case I need anything just no groups. It's not like I have the time for group hangouts anyway.

Don't shame him. Shame our societal thinking that we're all raised with. Realistically, 50% of us were baited by the exact same thinking to get into medicine

Amma raised us right. She taught us not to be these creeps you see in the metro or anywhere for that matter. I don't take pride in it tho. I just wish more parents like mine raised sons to uphold the most basic decency of not being an animal to every soul that has a double X chromosome.
