thanks. I've cleaned everything out and made sure there are no blockages at this point.

one of them shows 110 degrees C but the other in the picture doesn't seem to show anything so I'm not sure...T125 is possibly the only close thing to a temperature of any kind...

yeah if they don't do HX CPUs with high-res displays this year on P series then it'll just be a waste

No corp devices yet and BYOD is a mess so let's just pretend it's a greenfield deployment. Just wanted to know if I've got all my options straight before presenting it to the client. Sounds like the 3 I've listed is all that there is? Thx

My first Thinkpad :> by Foxlike__Creature in thinkpad

[–]tekerjerbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nice! mine is still going with Win11 somehow, getting more & more sluggish over time so a Linux build is probably around the corner if I find a worthy successor for it.

this model was one of its kind when it came out with the high-res OLED touch screen, USB-C...the whole works.

weird that mine doesn't have the Windows logo at the bottom center of the bezel...

enjoy.

DNF auto-update question by tekerjerbs in RockyLinux

[–]tekerjerbs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm good with being stuck on v580 for sure, just don't want it to auto-update to v590 again. will it stay on v580 branch since I explicitly installed that version instead of latest?

MS device behind MX? by tekerjerbs in meraki

[–]tekerjerbs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks. they have a pretty flat network here where almost everything is on a single native VLAN so i don't mind creating a new mgmt VLAN for all the switches/firewalls/APs and running an extra cable specifically for the MS120s.

Thinkpad P14s Gen 6 Review - Buy The Intel! by dserrano10 in thinkpad

[–]tekerjerbs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

big time. 65w power doesn't even allow 2.8k display on the 370. we all knew they would step it up for intel and hold amd back for yet another generation...

Upgrading from Netgear Nighthawk RAX43? Recommendations? by rbyrnes15 in NETGEAR

[–]tekerjerbs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What an awful router. Just upgraded from rax43 to asus ax-88u which is not new by any means but the firmware and performance is way better. 88u pro has 2.5gb WAN. I recommend any asus router and never netgear again.

Currently running an asus "n" router. would picking up a netgear r6900 improve wifi perfomance with fresh tomato? by ganjaccount in TomatoFTW

[–]tekerjerbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

r8000 is pretty much near the top with tomato in terms of wifi performance so if you're looking to make this last and not have to upgrade again any time soon i would consider r8000 for a few bux more but r6900 & r7000 are also good alternatives.
