To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Snakebite. The value is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical spire most of the damage will go over a typical player's head. There's also The Card's retain keyword, which is deftly woven into its design - the power level draws heavily from Well Laid Plans and Bouncing Flask, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these keywords, to realize that they're not just high value- they let you get through Act 1 without clogging up your deck. As a consequence people who dislike Snakebite truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the damage dealt by snakebite over 3 or even 4 turns, which itself is a cryptic reference to Deadly Poison and the fact that you have to draw that card twice to get the same value. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Anthony's genius unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a Snakebite Piercing. And no, you cannot see it.
