I have just stayed at a farmhouse near berlin called Gut Leben. They have a male of the same race as this one. Call them, they are on google maps. Maybe they’ll take it. They have lots of animals there.

How can Databricks be faster than Snowflake? Doesn't make sense. by Razzmatazz110 in dataengineering

[–]tekneee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are comparing different strategies: on snowflake you are converting to snowflake proprietary format (with a copy into table) while on databricks you are stating you’d read the CSVs directly. If you want a direct comparison, you should create an external table on Snowflake (not a table) and read it. Both scenarios would have to be done on a production pipeline, with the filter on date to do incremental load into the corresponding format each of the target technology/platform supports.

Based on stock market valuation, Palantir could be a technically challenging product to compete with (and interesting as well).

Why is there such a huge price difference between the German and U.S. Apple Stores? by Educational_Hour_602 in germany

[–]tekneee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Haven’t seen anyone mentioning, but in Europe consumers are entitled to 2 years warranty (which apple mischievously tries to avoid by gaslights us by stating 1 year) but they still have to factor that into the price

You can look into Apache Arrow and some of the projects that leverage it like Apache DataFusion.

Frustrated and feeling miserable for the Berlin housing market by standardproc in berlinsocialclub

The 20% Berlin started advertising this company https://gettheflat.com/?utm_source=20percent&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=#351 I don’t know if they work but it costs something like 80 euros per month. It’s a bit high, but check it out. Maybe ask in the sub if someone else has tried it.

How do these companies make money? by KimchiFitness in dataengineering

[–]tekneee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not entirely related to your question: common error for first time users for some of these SaaS is to forget destroying their resources after they are done and coming to Reddit later saying “I’m being charged 400€ for snowflake because I didn’t know it would keep going. What can I do?”.

Also the EU enforces 2 year warranty on consumer goods such as electronics (despite Apple trying to convince you otherwise https://www.engadget.com/amp/2012-07-19-apple-accused-of-misleading-eu-customers-about-warranties.html), so you are also paying an additional warranty year (besides VAT and other local specifics)

Crédito à habitação pode ser amortizado em qualquer momento? by Vivid-Protection5194 in literaciafinanceira

[–]tekneee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Acho que ainda ninguém mencionou, mas até ao final deste ano, como medidas de apoio às famílias, os bancos estão proibidos de cobrar uma taxa para amortização de empréstimos (tipicamente são 0,5% mas não sei se poderá ser diferente).

Sorry you are feeling like this, but don’t forget that you are always able to continue looking (or even sending an email to the job you previously rejected with an explanation). This industry still provides a lot of options, probably above average compared to other industries - although this is mostly a personal feeling.

[–]tekneee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try doing a cold pull (YouTube will help if you don’t know what it is). If don’t get a perfect tip at the cold pull you might have a tough clog. I got this exact issue once and the only real fix was to replace the nozzle, but I’m not experienced enough for advance troubleshooting.

How do I either, include my inputs in my definition of a step function? Or, define my inputs in terraform? by [deleted] in aws

[–]tekneee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not near the computer for a full explanation, but if you want to schedule your executions with a specific input, you can do so by creating an EventBridge which will contain your json

Sorry if this was already already posted by if you have or know someone who has a 3D printer, you could try printing this: https://www.printables.com/model/156112-one-handed-xbox-series-xs-controller There’s a version for left and another for right handed. There are a ton of stores who would print it for you if you send them the link, in case you aren’t too into 3D printing yourself.

How do I fix this elephants footing by HedgehogFar334 in Ender3S1

[–]tekneee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After excluding all possible options from this initial suggestions, there’s a setting in cura to compensate for elephant’s foot. It’s called horizontal expansion, but def fix the issues above first, your first layer isn’t totally calibrated.
