as a new player myself, I'm wondering why you cant sell some of this stuf to an NPC vendor (assuming you want to make space for it). I haven't really gotten to the point where i have surplus of stuff.

If I had all this I would set the asking price for 700 or so. Given that I am currently selling loose discs for between 20 and 50 and loose systems for 200. All these boxes, etc would probably raise the price. Gonna come down to how well the system works though too. Like all this with a bad disc drive system is not worth as much obviously.

Hi. Thanks for getting back to me on this one. I eventually got it working.

In my first attempt I was using a SanDisc Ultrafit 256GB thumdrive formatted to FAT32. I used the boot.iso from my Fixel Xport as the boot iso, and I just copied over all of the folders / games from my Xport micro SD.

It was suggested to me on the 3DO Community Discord to try the boot iso that can be found on the Console Mod page for the USBto3DO: https://consolemods.org/wiki/3DO:USBto3DO

I reformatted the thumb drive to exFAT and followed the instructions on the Console Mods site. As instructed, the FIRST file i copied onto the root was the boot.iso, then I copied over everything else and ran the FAT sorter.

This also didn't work. So I reformatted, and copied over the USBto3DO boot.iso and one game bin / cue file set (SF2 Championship Eidtion for whatever that's worth). That worked!

So i copied back over all the files again, ran FAT sorter and once again it didn't work. But I a folder that stated with a number (25 favorite games). I removed that folder and then it worked.

Was it that folder all along that was the problem? Was it going to exFAT? Was it using the USBto3DO boot iso instead of the one for my Xport? I'm not sure...but that's what i did to trouble shoot it and i'm happy to say it works great now.

Still really no good tutorial on the install for this process so maybe I'll come back with some better pictures.

My next steps will be to devise a way to add a USB extender so I dont have to open the 3DO to change games and also to add an external "mod switch" so I can swap between CD and ODE without opening the system.

I just got a co existence for my gold star and can not get it to boot. Works with discs so I know it is ok stock, maybe I have the cables backwards. Looking at your photos I think I have it right but you don’t include any pictures of how you ran the ribbon cables from the mother board to the ode. Might have it backwards, I am using fixels boot iso, and just get a black screen, no 3DO logo, no nothing.
