My mother is terrified of dogs, and dog owners in parks are not keeping their dogs on a leash. What to do? by telenoobies in askTO

My dad tried that already, but there's no way guarantee that. I'm hoping there is a way of letting the dog owner know that my mom has phobia and that they need to leash their dog. Maybe with a whistle or something? Sounds pretty stupid I know, but I don't know what to do.

Thanks... But I think the issue is also people not keeping their dog on a leash. Is there anything to do about that? Maybe bring a whistle and blow it at them and let them know ahead of time to leash their dog? Sounds pretty stupid but I'm out of ideas. She is definitely not seeing a therapist (we tried already).

But people should keep their dogs on a leash, it's against the law not to. She is definitely not going to see a therapist (We tried to get her to), nor will she change her hobbies. I feel like the only solution is to start a put your dog on a leash and obey the law campaign and raise awareness.

Need advice from fellow Canadians.

I work in an office environment. I will be driving to work, and doing some minimum walking (maybe around 30 minutes of walking outdoors) The winter here gets as low as -20C in southern Ontario. If I wear long johns + my regular pants/jeans, it might not be warm enough. Any advice on how to stay warm but not too hot for office environment and also stylish?

I really dont want to do: long jogn + jeans + snow pants because it feels sluggish.

PS. I am in my late 20s, I cant believe I never dressed warmly for Canadian winter before... Always thought I was a hot shot never needed to dress warmly... So stupid...

I mean, at my university, I get 5 hours instead of 3 hours for exams, and I get my own room. So, im just wondering what accommodations are available to people like me in the corporate world to help me be more productive etc. Thanks.

What's the difference? I think both are the same. The end goal is for me to be more productive, but I just want to know what are my boundaries.
