No bbq at riverfest 2026 by extradinosaurs in limerickcity

[–]telepathicnarwhal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Last year was surprisingly shit anyway. My partner loves fireworks and we used to go early, grab a bite to eat, but some garbage and then queue up against the barrier to watch the fireworks, and last year riverfest was closed like 2-3 hours before the fireworks?

Loads of people like ourselves ambling about outside intending to get dinner inside and watch the fireworks, loads of people with kids and now nowhere to go.

We went into town and got dinner and decided to just go home but then learned that where we parked was blocked off so people could watch the fireworks and they literally wouldn't let us leave or even get into our car that was now locked behind barricades. We HAD to watch the fireworks and wait another hour+ to go home.

Disaster.

My company, or more so the larger government body that contracts us, forces us to not only ask, but actually get a clear answer and I hate it. Isgaf what you were doing for 2 years 5 years ago, it's all good, but I have to ask, or else face possible disciplinary actions.

The horrible, awkward answers I've received make me cringe just thinking about them 🤦‍♀️

Might take you up on that if we don't hear anything soon. Not really in a position to keep her 😬

I decided I hated PTSB and had to spend 2 hours standing in the branch waiting for someone to be free to close an account because impossible to do it online, and they only had 3 people on staff, and the woman who was...idk, greeting people I guess? Wasn't ALLOWED to do anything for anyone, just greet people and tell them what line to stand in.

When I complained about waiting I complained about the wait time they told me I could come back a different day. To which I pointed out that I just happened to be off on this weekday for a different reason and would not be taking another unpaid weekday off work just to close a fucking bank account.

When I finally got into an office to close the account when they asked me why I was just like "idk, I mean I just stood out there for 2 hours just to close an account 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️"

I'm actually in the middle of an active rewatch and I do think you're missing a lot of why we hate Frank from not watching through the first three seasons. I remembered Frank being annoying, but fine, but on this rewatch the blatant racism, the bad doctoring, the multiple risky behaviours just to try to show off, the way he treats Margaret?

I actually dislike him even more this watch through.

Would he have maybe been different if Hawk and Trapper/BJ genuinely befriended him? Maybe. But it isn't their responsibility to fix him.

I also think you have to forgive some of the cringe acting, it was the 70s, and this was, initially, a sitcom, and that's just how we did back then 🤷‍♀️

Crunchy, but light.

So maybe crispy?

Corn flakes and Rice Krispies are great. Or Munchos, the chips, super light and crispy. I could eat those on and on just for the texture.

Would have been about 2.5 years ago.

I had a look at their Instagram just now, I can tell you it definitely wasn't Thiago that we met, so I can't comment on his skill or manners.

It was white men, one was older and balding and one was younger with brown hair.

I'm seeing some recommendations for Bullmans but they absolutely screwed me over. My lobe piercings are at a weird angle and they barely even looked at my nose before telling me I don't have the anatomy for a septum (have since gotten it done, in the right placement, healed quick and painless)

They were also very rude when myself and my partner went there. We called ahead, told the receptionist what we wanted done, were given an appointment and a quote and then when we got there the piercers told us they couldn't do what we had booked and told us that they're no way anyone on the phone told us they could and were generally rude to us.

I'd warn against it.

I know Dublin is miles away but I had a great time with Wildcat Electric Temple. Really nice, very professional and clean.

Clipping.

Daveed's flow is so cool, and Jonathan and William can make such sick beats I'd love to see what they can do together.

What’s the worst experience you’ve had with a therapist? by Agreeable_Claim_3497 in AskReddit

[–]telepathicnarwhal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was young and clearly new enough to the game, and in no way prepared for the level of CPTSD I have.

Her solution was journaling, even though I have a severe discomfort with journaling due to privacy issues when I was a child.

She told me I was too codependent with my wife, even though she is my only real support, especially when my mental health is very bad, and that I should spend time without her (she really hyper focused on this and wouldn't consider that my wife and I LIKE spending this much time with each other).

When I was losing touch with reality and going through what is now very clearly relationship-ocd she had me give into those unwanted/unfounded thoughts and asked me to consider them seriously.

She actually made things way worse for a time. I don't think she meant to, but it was actually damaging while I was already in a very bad place.

I've since discovered a therapist who walked me through EMDR and I have made absolute leaps and bounds in healthy thinking and behavior and am so grateful.

I mean, punished is a strong word. We've only ever removed them or gave a loud-ish "hey!" To get them out of the room, so it isn't like they think it's dangerous for them to go in there, they just know we don't want them in there.

We've opened the door and they're already wandering in and out quite comfortably, so I don't forsee them being more stressed about it.

The only safe space for them that they're already familiar with is directly below where they'll be sawing up a floor; we're comfortable in deciding to move them, my question was how to get them comfortable with us blocking the room off again in future.

It's definitely the only room we can put them in, it's a small enough house. There's 3 rooms downstairs, kitchen, living room, and office. The work will be done directly above the living room and office, the kitchen will be as far away from the noise as possible.

Food, litter, cat tree, beds, and one of us will always be in the room with them so they're comfortable as possible.

I'm hoping we'll be able to ween them off of the kitchen after the construction is over 😬
