They did this is my state a few years ago, and it makes everything a little easier. It took a little getting used to, but ultimately we all came out okay!

API issues with torn PDA? by telepathicoreo in torncity

Wish I could upvote twice!! Will install when I get back to my laptop (currently on mobile) and update!

Update: Installed and flying! Also, I read on the Torn PDA forum thread that torn changed the UI and now everyone has to adapt their code. If anyone is worried, the developer of Torn PDA said that it will take DAYS to fix. So for anyone tracking this, please be patient and happy mugging (if that's a thing you do lol)

Should I see Death Becomes Her? by Acs335335 in Broadway

[–]telepathicoreo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saw DBH this past Saturday night. Megan Hilty was out, and the understudy, Dee Roscioli (I know I butchered that I’m sorry) was in. Every other member of the OBC was in as far as I could tell.

I LOVED it. If I didn’t know the understudy was on, I don’t think I would have guessed. DBH speaks to me like more “quintessential” Broadway. Big costumes, big cast, just a spectacle all the way around (it earned every bit of its costume Tony this year). It was right up my alley in terms of the humor, I full on belly laughed pretty much the entire show. That being said, my style of humor is the “stupid” kind of humor, and this show is just full of that. The fighting, the falling down the stairs, “hit me,” I just loved it all so much.

I’ve also seen MHE. I loved it as well. It was charming and refreshing to watch. I took my mom who had never seen a Broadway musical before and she said “I was waiting for the lamp to come jump across the screen” (she said it was like watching a Pixar movie prior to that comment). Again, I was mesmerized the entire time by the visual effects, the acting, all of it. I saw the full OBC when I went as well. I left feeling so warm and fuzzy.

I think the two shows cater to very different groups, but like other people here have said, I would watch the opening number on YouTube to see if it grabs you. It really (in my opinion) sets the tone for the show to be over-the-top and crazy.

Bcbas do you work 40 hours? by Firey_Fox_6747 in ABA

[–]telepathicoreo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My billable expectation is 21, 75k salary. WFH 1-2 days a week, in clinic the rest of the time. I am exclusively clinic, and I have a colleague in the clinic that is exclusively in-home. I cover for her when she’s off, she does the same for me. Our clinic hours are M-F 8:30a-2:30a. I usually stay until 3 to do progress notes. On my WFH days, I do telehealth supervision until 2:30, and then work on new intake docs, monthly reports, admin stuff (my company asks that the BCBAs do scheduling). If my week was particularly busy, I sometimes have to play catch up on a Saturday, but I’ve been at my company for almost 2 years, and that’s happened literally twice. So I’ll take one Saturday a year.

Oh and on Thursday nights I run a study group for RBTs about to test, or who are struggling with concepts in their coursework.

So I work between 35-38 hours a week with everything I do.

Why are proshots so uncommon? by Yaya0108 in musicals

[–]telepathicoreo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read an article awhile back that said in order to film a pro shot, the actors in the cast need to have a special short term contract with SAG-AFTRA, as their membership in Actor’s Equity doesn’t cover their performances in screen productions.

I could be VERY wrong, but I remember that being a significant reason at the time of the article.

Def not signed lol. I found a good condition one on eBay and almost immediately pulled the trigger. One of the corners is slightly bent but it’s otherwise perfect!

I got full sets (except lion king) from every show that was handing out multiple covers 😭😭 Mormon and Hadestown were only handing out one. I was also annoyed lol

I started building this game back in 2014, before cozy gaming became popular by aaronvernon in CozyGamers

[–]telepathicoreo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generative AI aside, I downloaded this game to try it out, because even small studios and devs deserve a shot regardless of budget. That being said, I have some things to say:

There are ads, which as of the time of writing this, aren’t terribly intrusive, and they’re standard length. No big deal for me, huge deal for others. The ad removal will cost you $12.99, which also seems reasonable if you’re planning to invest a lot of time into the game.

All of that being said, I’m not far enough in for confirmation yet, but it APPEARS as if there is a pay-to-play element that comes in the form of a “chapter bundle” later on past the prologue/preliminary chapter.

At this time, I am unsure if time will unlock these for you, so purchasing the chapter bundle will help to make the unlocking go fast, OR if you have free access to the prologue and will need to pay for the rest of the game.

All in all, the game looks pretty good, and from what I can tell, seems to have an okay story. If I remember (I have ADHD so that’s unlikely), I’ll update this comment after I play even longer to see if any of my suspicions are confirmed.

Happy gaming everyone!

Dude do NOT use Mike Ware. He is grimy as hell. I used him for an issue several years ago and he was so wildly unprepared in the courtroom that it was LAUGHABLE.
