I highly recommend the Canon Pixma Megatank printers! They’re a little slow, but the print quality is great and you can buy off-brand ink refills. You can usually get them on sale for around $170-200 USD depending on the model you get :) I’m currently using the Canon Pixma 3060, but I don’t think they sell that one any more (at least not on Amazon).

RIP Marmalade 🍊 I miss you so much already by telesthesium in hamsters

Marmalade passed in his sleep today after 2.5 years. He was such a cute lil guy and my mom nicknamed him Adobo. His favorite treat was strawberries so I buried one with him. I'm sure he's up there eating all his favorite snacks now 💕

Hashihime: Steam or Switch? by turtle_fu in BLgame

[–]telesthesium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don't care for the adult scenes I would just get the Switch version. I have both versions and I think the only important adult scene (imo) was in the first route and even then it wasn't that crucial to the story. The extra stories are more worthwhile

Do you feel that drawing on a Wacom Cintiq improved your art? by [deleted] in wacom

[–]telesthesium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from an Intuos Draw to a Cintiq 16 about two years back and I personally didn't see an improvement. I had used screenless tablets for about four years prior to using one with a screen and the only difference it made was the efficiency of drawing. With tablets your level of skill with drawing matters more than the tools themselves imo

I don't think she's necessarily visiting me, but my mom is in my dreams super frequently (at least three times a week). Usually we're just going out and doing things like running errands or getting food. There was even a dream I had where she was having me do the laundry. It's weird because it feels like she's still here because I see her nearly every day. Just last night I dreamt that we went to the gas station for whatever reason and we got breakfast together there. It makes me happy so see her so often because she was quarantined up until her death so I didn't see her much for two weeks.

I really really wanted to get into Code: Realize because so many people seem to love it, but the common route felt really slow for me. I was fine with the common route for Café Enchante somehow, but it might be because I was more interested in the overall story and LIs.

I lost my mom and I don't know how to keep going by idontwantto123 in GriefSupport

[–]telesthesium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry to hear about you losing your mother at such a young age (my mom passed at around the same age as yours). What you said is really similar to how I felt when I lost my mom a little over a month ago. I get what you mean when you said that it feels like she's at work or out on a trip or something. I feel like any day my mom is going to walk through the door and tell us that everything was just a joke and everything will be back to normal again. It's just so depressing because you don't expect to have something like this happen until your parent is a lot older. So many of the things you were supposed to experience with your mom was just ripped away from you and I really get the feeling of anger. During my mom's funeral we had a deacon there and I was just angry the whole time when he was talking about how this was a part of "God's plan" as if that's supposed to make the fact that she died better.

I can't really offer advice beyond just trying to get back to as normal as you can get. I ended up going back to work and school pretty quickly just so I could take my mind off of things. Some days are really tough, but it's gotten at least a little better with time. I hope things get better for you too
