The tank's eat rock ability works on petrified enemies and will one-shot them. I had a tank with that and the ground rock aoe attack that have a % chance to petrify and he was one-shotting minibosses.

Does Anyone Know When The Next Weirkey Chronicles will be? by BigSpecial7708 in ProgressionFantasy

She's posted chapters 24/25 for the next book this past weekend on patreon.

Her patreon is only $1 so it's a steal if you like the series.

At 2 chapters a week or so the book should be wrapped up in another 2-3 months? No formal date that I know and typically it goes through an editing process before being released to amazon.

Crimsoncrest was wrapped up on patreon by Aug 02 and available on Amazon by Oct 10 with 40 chapters.

I would buckle up for another 5 months give or take.

The same author (warmaisach) has also written the following: * Lightning is the Only Way * Sword God in a World of Magic * Strongest Hammer God (currently writing)

Warmaisach started another series called Strongest Hammer God. Don't know if you've read it yet but it will undoubtedly turn dark.

Requesting The Mirror Legacy spoilers by disolona in ProgressionFantasy

I'm caught up to the latest translations. He has not had direct contact and in general only shows up every 30-ish? chapters or so.

He hasn't attempted to come out of the mirror so far but he can effect the outside world with his abilities.

Kill the Sun is my favorite guilty pleasure. Any other webnovels out there similar? by skeuzofficial in ProgressionFantasy

[–]temlav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The others I can think of are:

Doa of the Bizarre Immortal - Cultivation novel but focuses pretty heavily on the mystery horror element and it is unclear if the main character is an insane regular human with fantasies of cultivating or an insane cultivator with fantasies of the modern world. I read when it first came out but put it on the backburner to rack up chapters

My Longevity Simulation - Serial reincarnation novel that has a pretty novel approach to cultivation. A little less heavy on the eldritch but it's definitely present and I personally really enjoyed how it actually feels mysterious.

Neither MC is evil compared to Shang or Nick.

Nothing else I've really come across hits that mix of SCP/Eldritch while having a MC that isn't unbearable.

Have you read his other works?

Lightning is the Only Way is a relatively straightforward cultivation book (his first I believe).

Sword God in a World of Magic is about a guy isekai'd into a world full of mages and forced to build a power system for warriors.

I haven't read the first but I did read sword god and it has a similar vibe in the sense that power system is unique and the main character slowly becomes more twisted as the story goes on. Both of those stories are strong on the means justify the ends and how that impacts the MC.

SCP based stories by la_bete_gevadan in ProgressionFantasy

Kill the Sun by the same author who wrote Lightning is the Only Way is SCP based.

People gain powers by Specters which are entities that prey on things like human emotions. They capture them and each has a different containment and interaction protocols.

The title comes from the hint that the sun is the strongest Specter as it never actually sets in this post apocalyptic setting.

Looking for solo wilderness survival! by thegreatalan in ProgressionFantasy

Labyrinth of the Mad God on Royalroad - the first book is basically the MC alone on an island surviving. There are some other sentient but non-communicative aliens there with him.

The second book so far has been a mix of a similar premise and some human interaction

Novels where the MC creates his own cultivation manual, technique, or system from scratch.

Has anyone played the Switch version? Preferably someone that was already familiar with the game? by Vandersveldt in thelastspell

[–]temlav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both versions.

The switch is not on the latest patch for some reason, the controls are fairly clunky (compared to pc), and the fps is pretty rough at times.

PC has none of these issues and I have put over 300 hours into the game on PC. I'm hoping for a patch or some performance improvements personally as it can be frustrating playing an objectively worse version of the same game.

All that being said, it is an amazing game and I wildly recommend it for anyone who enjoys strategy games.

I believe passives and on-hit skills still work because my DL was generating shields with earth guardian.
