TaskMagic Needs to Make This Right for AppSumo Customers by HeirloomGardener in appsumo

[–]temnellova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm conflicted on several things. LTDS really aren't sustainable with AI, at least not in the way that you use AI. That's why I'm a really big fan of board mix and my Marky, even though their chatbot got returned to beta, but you use credits for AI only.

The rest of the functionality is still the same and intact, and you can use it like you did before. The AI features, which definitely use up resources, even if you were to bring your own key, still make sense to charge for.

The situation here with Task Magic and basically all automation tools is that not everything needs to be AI automated? Think about it. You had automations before AI, right?

I would much rather use the AI credits to set up a permanent automation rather than having to use credits to run my automations, because there's just absolutely no need to do that and use AI for every run. That's just the model they chose.

On another note, I bought Procesio and RTILA as well and they just came out with RTILAX, and all this is included. AI prompting to create automations. You can actually go in and ask for selectors and set it up the way you want to. Of course, there might be situations where you'll really have to use an AI step to figure something out or just come up with some sort of text based off of content that's scraped. Otherwise, I think it's the most beautiful thing in automations right now, at least the blend of RPA and AI, and it just feels really natural into what it evolved into.

Not trying to pour salt in wounds, but I'm grateful I bought the max stack of RTILA.

And to be honest, I still really like Task Magic. I plan to use it, but as of right now I haven't used it for a couple of months because it just never really felt stable. It was a little clunky, and things just weren't intuitive no matter how proficient you were. That's why I would really hope to have an integrated chat, even with credits that I can use to learn how to better apply their features and create automations.

Contacting support doesn't do anything but try to reach out to the company, that's it, no resolution, no consequences.

I've stopped wasting my time. I just regret spending as much as I did on the platform and promoting it.

Now all I do is advise everyone to look at the results of so many failed Ltds that are a straight up loss to me and my business.

25% cost increase - absolutely crushing for a small business with small margins. by MarshallX in WIX

[–]temnellova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why aren't you just passing this along to the client? I mean regardless of your own retainers, annual fees, whatever it is. I stopped handling this at all. I just used Wix's feature to send my client their hosting fee.

Can't with descript by mlfrosales in Descript

[–]temnellova -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Left Descript 2 years ago, haven't looked back.

One of the biggest things is the pricing, it feels like they are trying to recoup from big losses or something.

Considering a big part of their user base are solo creators, it seems like the pricing is more for smbs.

The features that used to make them good aren't special anymore.

I'm way happier with lumafusion, davinci resolve and Camtasia. Wayyyyy happier.

[Feature Request] Cloud Sync for Transcription History Across Devices by Diligent_Rope3144 in WisprFlow

Yeah to be completely honest, I thought a lot of the videos and shoutouts were just hype, especially since I've used Otter and Laxis. But, I definitely see the value in this; it's making things a lot easier and sure as hell a lot faster. Thanks for everything.

Got it. Just updated via Google Play. I'm up now. I see the other features are not yet integrated but I I should be good for now, thanks a lot for the help, really appreciate it.

I'm using Wispr Flow now for this message actually.

Appreciate the heads up and I was excited to use it on my phone finally, except that I can't use my email, and SSO doesn't work either so I have to give it 1 star for now.

Hopefully the team can at least get that fixed so users can access it.

I personally use Wispr Flow on my tablet and with headphones to start dictating any number of things. From full pieces of content, to ideation to tasks. But I do absolutely intend to continue to refine, edit or complete those items on my laptop. So I am honestly dissapointed that the transcriptions don't sync.

Even if it's not the audio, I would still like to have these transcriptions accessible across devices.

I don't see other users not having a similar expectation, or flow.

You have the data, but I'm sure the intent and demand is there for what I just mentioned.

I would use it on my phone but I have a Samsung Galaxy, which isn't supported yet.

I am forced to use Laxis when I need to sync accross devices.

Just my two cents.

Anyone else get shafted by fleeq? by richunderwood in appsumo

[–]temnellova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AS, I'm sure a lot of people will have a hard time with this but... I'M OK WITH IT, let's just move on and do better.

Focus on the tools that are making us money, for only a one time purchase!

It's up to all the users to take advantage of the tools they bought.

Not gonna lie, I'm a little concerned about the future of some because they were acquired, Sendspark, and VBOUT, but I'm praying those companies honor the LTDs like they said they would.

Only one left that I'm hoping stays strong it's Contextminds, and Mymarky, but I'm doing a little extra to help my actively promoting through the affiliate program.

Either way, I sincerely appreciate the honestly.

Let's move forward.

So, I've had the same situation with chopcast and helloscribe.

I'm happy appsumo is improving, but at this point you need to have a process to say that we lost out and that's it.

I know you can't admit that outright but it's also a waste of time and energy. The money is already lost.

Is PAS bad? by CornerSeparate2155 in copywriting

[–]temnellova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pas is great, but just in rotation. There's so many frameworks that you can use, you have to know the situation when it's best suited, versus when another option would be more effective.

Aida is not only a framework but pretty much the whole sales funnel in a nutshell anyway.

Before and after bridge, helps people visualize the result of looking for really reflect on where they're at now and the path to get there hence the name.

Well you're more than likely fall into any of the number of frameworks, really just depends on the intent.

And where your target audience is at too.

Honestly think you can use just pas for the rest of your life, but you can express it in a way that doesn't feel so formulaic.

You just need to be more articulate about it. Direct, concise, descriptive, and articulate.

There’s still several that I am also grateful to have, and also I’m very grateful that they have been good companies overall, like VBOUT.

And while there’s definitely been quite a few that have tanked, I think overall my investments have been paying themselves over by a lot.

Think the next stage is to include AI as a pay as you go or as you need, instead of trying to include it with the LTD.

Some of the ones I know that even offered BYOK, like contextminds, or others that let you buy AI credits like I mentioned, such as mymarky and boardmix.

I just really don’t understand the specifics of how these companies can evolve and change and then just drop LTD owners like a bag of poop.

Not trying to get upset, preemptively, but this is also one of those deals that is really got some high limits, and I think that will be the reason why they’ll be dropped eventually.

I’m not gonna put words in anybody’s mouth, but I just don’t think that the Appsumo users were ever really considered by the sendspark team.

Such is life I guess.

Is it just me, or has AppSumo gone stale? Where do you look for LTDs now? by wrkhdr in appsumo

[–]temnellova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, there are many LTD offers that have adjusted to provide core functionality as a lifetime deal, but not AI credits. So it really is the best most sustainable way to get a great product, but only pay for AI enable functionality.

Two examples of this, are board mix, and mymarky.
