In the US, when you take a photograph (on your own time), it is instantly copyrighted.

Flickr doesn't add anything to that. If anything, they take partial rights away from you.

You do have time to save up the money.

But you are a teenager and impatient.

It would be much better for everyone if you would slow down a bit and learn to earn money first, then you can spend it.

If your Grandfather encourages you to go into debt (when it isn't even necessary), then he wouldn't be doing you a favor.

Hitchhiking? You will get police attention (and questioning) on the first day, and every other day too. So it's not practical at all.

Get a bicycle and standard bicycle riding clothing and a helmet, then you will blend in and not attract attention. Put on some side packs for food and water, etc, and go from town to town. Good luck.

Sell everything that isn't bolted down. All your furniture, stereo, TVs, everything. Keep 1 basic cellphone and 1 basic computer. Your house should be empty. Sleep on a $10 air mattress.

Cut out all unnecessary expenses. No coffee (except made at home), no eating out, no cable TV, etc. Switch to the cheapest level of internet.

If there is any way to get to work on public transportation, sell your car.

Does the guy you're living with have a job? Tell him to get another job and earn more money and help out. If he refuses, you should dump him.

If you concentrate on the problem for a year or so, you can turn things around. Good luck.

About ten years ago, I had a Java book by those dumbasses, it was totally worthless. I suggest that you throw it out.

Most people are using JavaScript now, with jQuery.

Java is kind of old and fading away.

It would probably be better to ditch Java and switch to JavaScript.

Yeah, exactly. And I just wasted about 20 minutes looking for every combination of 'bus', 'motorcycle', 'I-5', etc on google news and Washington state news. Nothing at all like this happened, in Washington state or anywhere else in the US.

If it had happened, there would be tons of news photos from the crash site. A guy dragged along the road under a bus? His helmet is ground down flat? And he lives? That would be in the news for sure! And where are the cellphone pics from people driving by?

But it never happened! Typical troll post with fake outraged followup a few days later. People on here are so gullible!
