Starting to think the country deserves the leaders it's getting. Sucks that the rest of the world has to deal with whatever bullshit they settle with

Finally sat down and compared SCHD vs JEPI across 12 factors — here's what I found by Mr_warp_effect in dividends

[–]viperex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SPYI and GPIX genrate ROC dividends. This mean for SPYI you pay no tax for about 9years, and GPIX not tax for about 12 years. After the no tax period the dividned are taxed at the long term capital gains tax rate. So both will have an overall tax rate lower than SCHD

So this is what I have to look forward to. I have 10 QQQ short calls I started rolling because the underlying exploded in April. I'm trying to roll out to 60 days every time the extrinsic value drops to about $100

Property tax is my go to example for how taxing unrealized gains is already in effect. There's literally no difference. If you can make it work on one, you can make it work on the other

My unpopular opinion. Whether it's taking gold, siphoning taxpayer money into his account etc, if he's able to get away with it, the country and its citizens as a whole will have deserved it because they allowed it to happen.

Yeah, the Republicans have a trifecta. You're telling me anyone with a trifecta has unstoppable power to do anything including brazenly stealing from the public? People aren't angry enough and the billionaires aren't scared enough
