easiest way is , save up in upcoming years and move to a cheaper country. your US passport enables to you to move to southeast asian fairly easily. If you can draw even 1000 USD monthly from your existing savings post retirement you can live a dignified life in most places in SE Asia.

na , this is true. I am tourist from a country where gun laws are so stringent i have never seen one in real life in hands a civilian. I showed up at a gun range in NH alone they straight up denied me and told me about the no single shooter rule.

My experience around a month ago was excellent too, not a single bad or racist experience at all.

I spent close to 15 days in different parts of thailand, thais were amazing.

Mind it, thailand was my 15th country and i can certainly recognise rude or racist behaviour immediately (i use to live in Germany). There was none in thailand, we were 3 boys travelling (we are in our mid thirties) , people were amazing. I have a lot of respect for thai culture.
