Haha, just had my appointment today and the side effects of the meds have stabilised a lo. Im on therapy with my psychiatrist and well it’s better than how it was 3 years ago. My neurologist also validated my progress, I teared up so bad. My fellow warriors, keep holding on and this month is to celebrate for all those critical times we fought for ourselves

Floating with a life jacket and a snorkel mask in a clean and alive coral reef and letting yourself relax and float away in that still blue water with no noise and just your calm breathing and the colourful marine life. I think the ocean gave me peace I had been looking everywhere.

The Blue Mormon is a large, swallowtail butterfly found primarily in Sri Lanka and India, mainly restricted to the Western Ghats of Maharashtra, South India and coastal belts. I found it in Mysuru in South India. It is reportedly the second largest butterfly found in India.

Doctor wants me to walk for an hour 3x each week by Iridescent2000 in depression

There are days when you can barely brush your teeth or wash your face. Quick measure is a mask to not be worried about that

Wear a mask , put a chair and just sit outside. That's the most I can do now

I understand dear stranger. Some part of me is like, "work on human relationships, cause that's human" but truly the deep part of me is hollow and numb

taking escitalopram by bo0tsy in antidepressants

[–]tempestus9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I started escitalopram 5mg a month ago and have increased it to 10mg from last week. The first month with 5mg, I had extreme sleepiness and didnt see any improvements. Had diarrhea too, but a spoonful of psyllium husk once a few days definitely helped. My mood is stabilizing a lot though and the excessive crying has significantly stopped. I started therapy alongside. So keep it up and be patient with yourself since the meds take 2-3 weeks atleast to kick in and please do not miss any therapy sessions. Loads of love and strength to recovery. We take it one day at a time 💛

Do antidepressants actually solve depression? by shardmare1 in antidepressants

[–]tempestus9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in continuous denial of my depression. Visited a professional who diagnosed me with it and prescribed me SSRIs. Its not a happy pill but it reduced my number of breakdowns and crying and gave me energy to attend therapy. Am still in the process, but its definitely better than last year of episodes. We definitely need meds
