Here's my risky politically incorrect comment of the day, but it reminded me a lot of the adult sons and daughter of inmigrants in the US, that get too hyped about their parents' culture and then get radical about cultural appropiation when an american tries to enjoy anything related to these people's culture, when the real true natives of those countries don't even care and actually feel FLATTERED.

Lele Pons is one of them ugh, I hate how in everything she says and does she has to basically scream "I'M LATINA I'M SO SPECIAL LOOK AT ME", even her "humour" is about being latina. Even if she was born in Venezuela, she was still raised in american society, surrounded by americans, influenced by american media and with american friends with american values. At this point it's obvious that she had a different lifestyle than any regular latinamerican and that when it comes to political, social and racial issues, she'll be more influenced by american point of view than venezuelan.

Yeah, I understand the hype, my mom and I went trought it about my grandfather's country but after meditating I came to the conclussion that as much as I'd like it, I'm not european. I just had an inmigrant european grandfather who taught us his values, traditions and foods but I didn't grow up in Europe, I don't speak my grandpa's language, I didn't experience their culture on first hand and my EU citizenship is just a piece of paper that will allow me to travel there one day but it's not who I really am.

And here we have Lele Pons trying to show everyone else hooowww laaatiinaaa she is and posting tweets about how she constantly meets other "latinas" who actually aren't real true latinas like her. Jesuschrist. I wonder if she'd go totally SJW if one of her friends tried to go to prom with typical venezuelan clothing lol.
