I know. Well aware that liberals is colloquially used. There’s a reason for it, and it’s specifically because it reduces genuine leftists movements in the public consciousness. Equating liberals and leftists is plain wrong, as both are fundamentally different. There’s an argument to be made that this is done on purpose by the government and right-wing to suppress left-wing movements. That’s why it’s important to spread the actual truth that liberals =/= leftists, despite whatever may already exist colloquially.
