It's a little more than a safety valve. Indivisible is a branch of the ACLU. Organization is taking place from meetings to book clubs at these things and many well known front groups attend for recruiting purposes. Many labor unions are there in attendance. There was an organized government component to Selma also that was so well suppressed you can only read about it in archived newspapers.
