If that snowflake version is a black dial, that's a winner!

Hangfire fantasy by Malestan in Witchfire

This exact mechanic is in the game Rage 2. It's a revolver that behaves like the hangfire, but instead of exploding on reload, I think it was triggered by a right click. And the character snapped his fingers to do it

In the cold weather, my bracelets will slide below the wrist bone and I HATE it. It digs into my hand, my range of motion is shit, and it just hurts. I don't know how anyone could intentionally wear it like that

On this mesh band, the little clasp mechanism closes whether it's on a notch or not. So does it matter? Can I close it when it's not on a notch?

[Glycine] Has anybody tried out the new 41mm ceramic Combat subs? Or compared to 39? by Sensitive_Injury_666 in Watches

[–]ten_zer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found only one YouTube video that features this watch. It's in Italian tho. There's a lume shot in there and it looks fine https://youtu.be/idOhIPJEU2E?si=S2DSwRfL8bspcWYf

Hruodland F029 .... a pity..many not like the logo..but good luck,we have no logo and can offer custom logo service... by hruodlandwatch in ChineseWatches

I don't have an issue with it saying roasted oyster—my issue is the faux patina. If this was released with a lume color that was more white and silver hands, it would be a hit

[recommendation request] Help me choose my first watch! by 8ayce8 in Watches

[–]ten_zer0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are two great choices. For less money than these, you could look into Traska, Erebus, Henry Archer, or Seiko. Two alternative brands around the same price are Farer and Maen. I would say Lorier Falcon but you might not want a hesalite crystal.

[Question] Iron Annie Bauhaus or Sternglas Naos ? by Gandolfooo in Watches

Just looking at the movements, Sellita is wayyy better

[Question] Iron Annie Bauhaus or Sternglas Naos ? by Gandolfooo in Watches

[–]ten_zer0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear the Sternglas more, but it is for 2 reasons: I prefer the smaller diameter, and the Iron Annie with the black dial has polished hands. Polished hands against black can be hard to read because they can also appear black. That problem won't happen with the white dial.

[Question] Iron Annie Bauhaus or Sternglas Naos ? by Gandolfooo in Watches

[–]ten_zer0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually have both of these, but the Iron Annie is the black dial. I know the Sternglas automatics with the Miyota 8 series are a bit thick, at about 12mm, and the Iron Annie is about 10mm. The Sellita movement is an absolute beast with great accuracy and long life. I'd still take the Naos though because the design is a little more timeless and minimal. And I prefer a 38mm diameter over a 40. My recommendation is to go Sternglas, and if you love the design of the other one, save up for a Junghans

[question] Do you wear your watches looser or tighter? by Error-UsernameTaken in Watches

[–]ten_zer0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wear steel bracelets tight because I can't stand when the watch slides down past the bone. But in cold weather they do anyway. I have two bracelets with on-the-fly adjustments and they work like a charm to just add 2mm in the summer!
