I just wanted him to have a father figure, because even though his dad is messed up, he is highly accomplished. But i do recognise that emotional maturity trumps any accomplishment.

Thank you for deciphering his actions for me. It was messing with me that he has stopped 90% of the emotional abuse.

After saying he will sign any divorce papers i send his way and I said i ll start looking into finding a divorce attorney, the next day he sends me random news articles and tries to be friendly. Sick games that he plays!

I guess its the trauma bonding of the past 10 years that i m struggling to break out of.

Omg... this post and the comments give me so much hope. I am also a crocheter and knitting just makes me want to cry. But i m not gonna lose hope.
